In the 1950's the New York Yankees went on a hunting trip to a farm owned by a friend of Billy Martin. When they arrived Billy talked to the farmer and asked permission to hunt. The farmer said I need a favor. My favorite cow is very ill and I do not have the heart to put her down, could you do it? She's isolated in a pen across the fence from the others. Billy, the prankster ,goes to the van , grabs his rifle and tells the guys that the farmer refused to let them hunt so I'm gonna kill one of his cows. Billy puts Elsie out of her misery and as he turns around he hears bang, bang and Mickey Mantle hollers I shot 2 more.
