After a thrilling weekend of NFL action, we take a look at some of the top matchup and interesting NFL Football Betting Lines for the second week of the NFL Regular Season.
The Thursday game is an AFC West collision of the Denver Broncos taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. Since Peyton Manning arrived in Denver, the Broncos have won all six matchups against the Chiefs ? with all six of those victories coming by at least a touchdown.
But Manning didn?t play well week in a close home win against the Ravens, to the point where he?s been called out by some in the media as being past his prime, and the sportsbooks have responded by installing KC as a 3-point home favorite at the moment. Not only is this the first time KC has been favored against Denver since Manning?s arrival, but they face a Broncos club that is a perfect 6-0 against the spread w/ Manning on the road against division opponents.
After a big home win against the Colts, the Buffalo Bills find themselves as a pick ?em at home against another favorite to come out of the AFC, the New England Patriots. Brady and company had little issue getting past Pittsburgh last Thursday, and they take the field this Sunday with the services of RB LeGarrette Blount, who served a one-game suspension last week. New England had won six straight in this series before the Bills upset the Pats in New England last December.
Philly?s offense was completely out of sync in the first half of their Monday Night Football loss against the Falcons, but came on strong in the second half. NFL bettors are all over the Eagles this week as they host Dallas, as Philadelphia is currently a five-point favorite ? up two points from the opening number.
Great matchup on Sunday Night Football with Seattle visiting Green Bay in a battle between the top two favorites to win the NFC. Packers won and covered against Chicago last week while Seattle lost a wild game in overtime against St. Louis. Everything is not ok in Seattle as RB Marshawn Lynch?s mom called for the Seahawks to fire their OC. Packers are currently a 3.5-point home favorite as they look to avenge last year?s loss in the NFC Championship Game.
Finally, we have the Jets and Colts closing the NFL weekend on MNF. Indy lost big last week at Buffalo while the Jets hammered the Browns. Linesmakers did not overreact to those two lopsided final scores and have the Colts as a big touchdown favorite in this game. From a handicapping standpoint, the Colts are in a great ?play-on? spot coming off that big loss as they are a perfect 6-0 against the spread following a double-digit defeat.
