miami, fl.
game by game:

minny-favored minny, but passed, thinking it would be too tight to call.

atlanta-on record as strongly favoring atl, but passed for the cinci pick. tsk, tsk.

miami-i favored them, but passed wisely.

green bay-backing them all the way, had second thoughts after the weak hilton numbers, but still picked them.

indy-passed thinking it was too close to call. hah!! moneyline nick & co. took all the marbles. well done.

nyg-passed favoring n.o. and waiting for giants to assert themselves. they did.

pitt-passed favoring buff.

denver-picked them, no regrets.

cinci-stubborn pick. should have passed also.

jax-passed, not sure about the cover either way.

oak-no questions about the pick. a fellow capper made me to some research. thank you.

dallas-picked them, had a good basis for the cover, but what can you do?

sfo-favor them but passed.

result of picks

green b. win
denver loss
cinci loss
oak win
dallas loss

2-3, as sick as they come. the only second guess is that i should have picked atlanta and skipped cinci. could the game selection have been better? i can't see it. please don't tell me philly was the superior team by more than 14 points, or that balt had the game wrapped up. s.d. did appear to have the game under control.

covers were very debatable either way (prior to the games, of course) in n.e., minn, wash, buff, jax and philly.

for those who think i am hilton-hung, i only had green bay, oak, and denver, way before the picks came out, and passed on the 2 losers. the only influence the hilton numbers had on me was the weak green bay numbers, but still stuck with it.

wanna pound or expand on it? go ahead, it may make us all a little better.

Pepin46, Personnally, I think the Hilton is a viable handicapping tool . I don't have the results from last year but , I'd be willing to bet you would have profitted from being with them vs. being against them. I played , Den, Jax, and Oak yesterday . I use a mini-consensus from some of the "heavyweights" here and there were some majority leanings towards these picks . Conversely, there weren't many if any picks to the contrary. I would definitely look for a MINIMUM of 3-2 out of the hilton nxt week. Point is , when the hilton numbers MATCH some of the PREMIERE cappers here it usually bodes VERY WELL. As for your picks , I think quite a few people had , shall we say an "off week" , it happpens and I hope everything returns to normal next week, as "normal" here at Madjacks is usually VERY PROFITABLE !!!! Best o Luck
