Lewey, just wondering what numbers you're looking at that make you like Washington so much??? Purdue has by far the biggest discrepancy between win-loss record (6-6) and talent in the nation.... The Boilermakers play in a conference with a potential national champion (Ohio State), another top-10 team (Penn State), and a slew of other bowl teams and they led that Big-10 conference in total offense while tying with Ohio State for the top spot in total defense. In their 11 Division 1A games, the Boilermakers averaged 448 total yards at 5.6 yards per play (against teams that allow 5.3 yppl) while allowing just 326 yards at 4.9 yppl (against teams that average 5.4 yppl on offense). Purdue?s 6 losses were by 7 points at Notre Dame, by 3 points to Wake Forest, by just 3 points at Iowa, in overtime at Illinois, by 2 points to Michigan, and by just 4 points to unbeaten Ohio State and they out-gained 5 of those 6 opponents. Purdue is not so far from being 10-2 or better and ranked in the top 5 in the nation yet they are an underdog to an overrated Washington squad whose only win over a really solid team was due to an injury to star quarterback Jason Gesser in their season ending victory over Washington State..... Washington was just 1-5 ATS as a favorite this year while Purdue was 3-1 as a dog with their only spread loss in that role coming in a 7 point loss as a 6 point dog at Notre Dame, a game in which they out-gained the Irish 318 yards to 203 yards. It also doesn?t hurt that the dog in the Sun Bowl is 10-1-2 ATS the last 13 years. What numbers are you referring to that have you leaning to Washington???
