The Winnipeg/Edmonton game is meaningless as Edmonton has already clinched #1 in the west and Winnipeg has clinched #2. The Montreal/Ottawa game is meaningless as Montreal has clinched #1 in the East and Ottawa is out.
But the other 2 games have significance. If Toronto wins or goes to OT they finish 2nd in the East (unbelievable). If they lose to Calgary then Hamilton gets the spot. And who do they play??? They play the loser of the B.C./Saskatchewan game while the winner of that game goes to Winnipeg.
So the loser of the BC/Saskatchewan game probably hosts the crappy Argos or Ticats while the winner of the game gets the honor of playing at Winnipeg. Sheesh :com: Talk about a disincentive to winning.
So how do you play that game when you know both teams will be trying to lose??? Something tells me there will be a lot of "questionable" drops and such. UNDER 49 for 5 units!!!! To win the game I'm leaning to Saskatchewan for 1 simple reason. Terry Glenn is trying to win a spot in Saskatchewan next year while Allen is safe and will likely retire soon anyways. So while Glenn can't really afford to have poor statistics, for Allen it really doesn't matter. Nevertheless something tells me we'll see a lot of slipping during the running game on the slippery turf of the dome
