Who only gets 2000 in their daily diet?

I'm 6'4 and roughly 220-230 lbs (used to weigh about 270) and my friend who is a nutritionist states I should be pumping 2400-2600 calories a day into my body. I'm definitely a fan of eating 5-6x a day so 2000 calories would be rough.

Never been a fan of "diets" because truth be told, they are not sustainable for life. I like to try things that are longer lasting and easier to stay on track with.

On the course!
I went out for breakfast today. The menu shows the calories. Omelette and 3 small pancakes with a soda. 2200.

This is one of the reasons America is obese. They lied to us for years....Low fat, no cholesterol, skim milk, 2500 calories etc....all bullshit---fuck Big Pharma and the USDA and all the DRs too....

Take your health back....just eat a steak....and when your hungry, eat another....have some water or coffee....oh hungry again, eat a hamburger....just a hamburger....after about 3 months you'll be the King you always wanted to be!!

Low carb is the key. Processed sugars/carbs are so unhealthy (but they taste so good). I wish I could exercise and run like I could when I was younger.

This is the truth.

Based on one faulty/biased study our government created the food pyramid and it was upside down. They moved meat and dairy to the top and grains on the bottom. When the AHA told everyone that "fat causes heart disease", what do you think they replaced fat with? Carbs. If you graph obesity in our country, it was level until they made the food pyramid and brainwashed people into thinking fat is bad.

The keto diet is trendy but it's science is based on 75+ years. I've been eating keto for 6 weeks and have lost 25 pounds without any caloric restriction. Meat, eggs, dairy, cheese, nuts, etc. As much as you want. Just no carbs. Mentally feel like I'm 20, can't explain how good it feels on keto. Tons of science.

Bingo, low carb is only way to go to lose weight...I?m consuming about 1500 calories a day since Jan 1, low carb and I?m down 15 so far

Cut out bread, rice, soft drinks, beer and lose weight

I don?t know how anyone can survive on 1500 - 2000 calories a day? Do you guys just watch TV? I have been trying to stay on course with a reflux diet.. Salad, oatmeal, musk Mellon, water, and skinless chicken after a day or two of that it?s like fuxk this..

Start my morning with a Hershey bar and Rasberry Monster rehab (6AM), 10 AM dive into a Jimmy Dean breakfast bowl and a yogurt. About 2 pm have a sub and soup delivered at work with another Monster rehab, probably had Gatorade, another candu bar and bag of chips, then at 5 take out 5 tacos loaded with sour cream and coke from taco johns., then about 7:30 had a small Ny strip and baked potato.. who knows what else I left out..

Now today no work, back to making the oatmeal this morning,, (blah)

That sounds like about a 10,000 calorie day.

About once a year, maybe twice, I put myself on 1200 calories a day for 6-8 weeks. One cheat day a week.

Last time mid July to mid October and lost 30 pounds.

I just started again 2 weeks ago and have dropped 8 pounds.

Ever since I turned 55ish, I have a terrible time keeping my weight in the 230 range and that's not really where I want to be, I'm happiest at 215-220. Even at 215 I still have a gut I don't like but that's what I am. I do not exercise and not going to start. When my weight gets in the danger zone (260+) I put the breaks on and go back to 1200 calories a day.

Most of you guys have usually seen me in the 230-235 range. I'm at 243 right now. The plan is to be back down to 225 by the golf outing. That's where I was at the last golf outing about 6 years ago. Pics in the outing thread.

I don't eat until about noon and usually start with soup or salad in the 300 calories range. Around 4pm I eat the opposite of what I had at noon, either the soup or salad. At about 6pm I have a 300-400 calorie dinner. usually some kind of chicken dish, or shrimp, or fish, with some veggies.

Around 8pm I finish the day off with around 200 calories which is usually some cottage cheese and yogurt or fruit bar.

I've done this so many times I'm a pro at it.

When I'm off the 1200 a day I do stupid shit like fast food, candy, ice cream, whateverthefuckIwant, then I start blowing up again.

And if I do alcohol, it's on my cheat day. The last time from July to October there was zero alcohol the whole 3 months. So far the last 2 weeks has been no alcohol. I don't plan to drink until the golf outing but I don't guarantee myself that rule.

That?s the point I can do it fir a few days but then it?s hellls bells. I?m not overweight it?s just for reflux, I couldn?t imagine staying on a strict diet like Hedges 1500 calorie., a day of that and I?d feel faint

My doctor wanted me to do a 1,200 calorie per day diet in 2017, I was starving everyday, I lost 40 lbs and went back to eating what I wanted and gained 30 of it back, ugh...I decided to go with about 1,500 until I am at my goal weight on January 2nd, if it takes me until Christmas so be it, I have a cheat meal on Friday night and drink beer every other Friday night is all right now.

I am headed to New Orleans next Tuesday for 4 days, to celebrate my anniversary early :scared I will be consuming no telling how many calories, I am hopeful I am walking it off as much as I can
