Cheers and Happy New Year!

I thought I'd drop in and wish everyone great success in 2004. It was great to read in Stan's recap that, "if someone had followed every single play posted in this forum in 2003 for one unit, they would have finished +565.55 units in profit!!!". Very impressive even with the Shaun Micheel factor (since somebody should hit something at better than 100/1).

I'm not up to speed, even though the time is here for 2004. Nevertheless, I'll start the year off with these words from Dave Tindall @ bettingzone that say what I was thinking: "If (Phil) Mickelson is to bounce back with a bang in 2003, the most likely place for him to showcase his return to the top is Augusta. Even in his poor 2003 season he managed a third place finish and that means he's finished tied seventh or better in seven of the last nine years". Put me down for 0.40* @ 25/1 e.w @ Bet365.

I've decided to get on the board early and follow the example of TU and LIA. Have been looking for good value in some of the early prices and have now gone with the following three.

Outrights (1.5 units e.w.)
  • N Price 125-1 @ Victor Chandler
  • L Westwood 150-1 @ Bet Direct
  • S Cink 150-1 @ SportingBet
These are best odds I could find on these guys, and in all three cases, are unusually long for their form. Time will tell.

Good Luck and here's to a great season!

I added another unit on Campbell at 50-1 win only. Personally I think this is just too big of a price. Hopefully he can win before the masters and I can lay some of this off to cover my stake.

Campbell 50-1 @ 2.5 units

Okay i'm in now LIA. I'm jumping on Mickelson. Spent all day trying to find 25!!

Mickelson win only 5u @ 25-1

That leaves me with....
Campbell w 2.5u @ 50-1
Mickelson w 5u @ 25-1

My goal is to lay these off before the event. Will try not to jump on any others before the event but could not resist one of the rising stars....plus could this be the year for Mickelson? He always plays well here.
