Phil Mickelson is listed as the favorite to win the US Open at Winged Foot June 15-18, but Vijay Singh's odds to win are a solid 12/1, behind Tiger Woods who is at 5/1, on account of the time he's had to spend away from tournament golf since the passing of his father.

After four straight tournaments of placing no better than 36th - not to mention 21 straight winless events - Vijay Singh won the Barclays Classic on Sunday. It was his first win since the Buick Open in July of last year. Singh's odds to win this week's U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y. remained at 12/1 in the Bodog Sportsbook. However, bettors aiming to hop on for the start of a winning streak could very well push that number down by Thursday.

PGA Golf Betting at Bodog Sportsbook

Tiger Woods 5/2

Phil Mickelson 5/1

Ernie Els 20/1

Retief Goosen 16/1

Vijay Singh 12/1

Jim Furyk 20/1

Sergio Garcia 38/1

Luke Donald 20/1

Okay, you might not like Vijay Singh to win the U.S. Open this weekend, but do you think he'll do better than Jim Furyk? Or Retief Goosen? Or Phil Mickelson? Or Tiger Woods? Make it a two-horse race with head-to-head betting at the Bodog Sportsbook!

As for a couple mid-length shots that might be worth a few bucks at Winged Foot, Englishman Luke Donald (20/1) has put together two straight top-10 finishes (sixth at the Byron Nelson and fifth at the Barclays). Donald doesn't hit the ball a ton but he does keep it in the fairway. That means a better chance of avoiding big, rough-induced numbers. A two-time PGA Tour winner, Donald won the Honda Classic in March. Granted, the field included none of the Big Five.

Bet on Vijay Singh at the U.S. Open! Odds to win the 2006 US Open @ Winged Foot Golf Club , Mamaroneck, N.Y. - June 15th - 18th!

Gimme a break with these odds. They are the worst I have seen at ANY book. :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

I can get Tiger at 5 or 5.5-1 almost anywhere, and Phil at 7-1. Not to mention the others..

Thanks but no thanks.. :sadwave:

Three guys that I would really keep my eye on are Tim Clark, Trevor Immelman, and Scott Verplank. All of them are at a fair price and would be sure to fatten your wallet. Also, an amateur to watch is Billy Horschel.
