Dubya at 300-1 is a good longshot. All we need is a full on war with Iran or something else huge and it could become a WWII FDR situation.

I'll have wait--especially on Hiliary--if she tries to project much more movement to the right (as previously predicted)she will have to run on GOP ticket :)

Mitt Romney 30-1

Be Afraid, be very afraid...

He is Republican Governor of Massachusetts...

I am not a Republican, but I usually vote Republican, this man is not my type of Republican. VERY VERY Anti-Union...

as usual, I don't understand your post. What are you suggesting? WWII or not, FDR was elected four times. If WWIII breaks out soon, W can't be elected again......or are you suggesting he would simply refuse to give up power? Essentially a coup d'etat?

Er.....I'm confused.

To be honest, I don't know how the rules changed since FDR - perhaps someone can explain. I know you were not supposed to run a 3rd time in his day - but he did anyway - and he's the only one to do so. There must be a way W can still be President though, why are the odds offered? He is a wartime president and there's plenty of war potential brewing.

I was just looking at it as a decent 300-1 shot. Certainly more likely than most of the other longshots. No agenda or suggestion, just political handicapping.

There was a constitutional amendment in 1951 that prohibits anyone being elected to the office of President more than twice (or once if that person took office as VP when elected President leaves office before their term expires).

That's why I don't understand why W's name appears on this list. There is no way constitutionally he can be president after Jan. 2009.

OK, I know how it can happen. Since he was never elected President in 2000, then 2008 would only be his 2nd election won! ...I kid, just had to say it. Please don't jump all over me.

Allright, that was pretty good.

Hold on, what if W tries to make exactly that claim? You Dems can't complain since that's what you have all been saying since that election. Think I'll drop a quick line to Karl Rove.

mmmmm......300/1 eh? Wonder what the max bet is.

Ah-nold is an interesting choice, seeing how that he can't hold the office of the presidency as he is not a U.S. born citizen....

or is that talk of trying to change that aspect of our laws more than just talk??

We have learned in the past few years that anyone serving in Congress has a very slim chance to be elected since they have a massive voting record that can be misconstrued and used against them, so that eliminates nearly 75% of the list. Thus we need to be looking at Governors as possible choices or someone outside the mainstream. I think Bill Richardson is a guy to watch, he seems to be getting a ton of national pub for being the leader of a smaller state, and on the right Pataki, very popular guy that could help the GOP in the east. Wouldn't it be something if Jesse Ventura ran with Arnold as his VP on an Independent ticket, I think they could do some damage.

How is Biden ever going to get past his plagiarism problems? Add in everything about him and he isnt a longshot - h eis a no shot. Use some common sense - tell me a "red state" Joe Biden wins?

If I actually were to bet money on this, I would go with Rice.
