Just did my taxes to get a sneek peak before sending off to the accountant. He usually finds 20% more based off deductions but must say I'm pleasantly surprised with the return. I let the government borrow a little more than normal to stay in the good graces of the three letter word... No not G-O-D, but I-R-S. :0002

Anything new this year?

Jack, you claiming any additions with your recent success in stocks? :toast:

To answer your question, I have no idea.

Fortunately, the more successful of my 2 stock accounts is my IRA, but the other had substantial gains as well.

I'm in collecting mode right now. Anything tax related goes into a big folder and sometime in March I'll send the whole mess to my accountant to get busy on.

The only thing I do is collect info and give it to him. Even mail from the state or IRS goes into the folder, unopened, and sent to him. I also make a list of things that might be used for deductions and he uses them if he can.

I don't even like the thought of taxes. I pay monthly and quarterly but this year will owe a nice chunk that will come out of my trading account.

I'm on 4 hot stocks right now that should help pad that account for my withdrawal in April. :0008

I was gone before 9pm :bed:

Woke up at 2am and watched Poker After Dark, then let the dogs out and came in here. Hopefully take a nap from 5-7 and be ready for another eventful and exciting day :0008

Wait as the Govt is still figuring out tables, forms etc. They say wait until after Feb 15th?

Yeah, I was playing with their tax calculator based loosely on dependents w-2 and not any deductions. I want file until then anyways.

Just peaking to see if its enough for a boat... :142smilie

I'm in downtown Milwaukee at the Double Tree. Just had lunch at the Milwaukee Ale House.

You around these parts?

Ale house, nice......how long are you in town? I'm about a Favre's throw away at work.
