It's time to take a look at how the golf forum fared last year ... :0corn

If someone had staked 1 unit on each of the plays posted in the golf forum in 2013 they would have recorded a profit of 121.08 units. What a great effort for the entire forum to be in profit over a whole year!

What great year again for the golf crew. I certainly enjoyed following.
Hats off to you again Stan for providing the most/only transparent grading thread on net.
It sure is a breath of fresh air from the "self documented fables" that abound on the internet. :)

Would also like to congratulate you on your 14th year of Tour Tips which has been the golf bible of stats and data base. Nice gesture to let those not familiar with it..to get free access for 1st 4 weeks of season:toast:

--and per offer of other data base queries..
if it's not to hard to run I would be curious to know what the unit total for LIA and Another Steve would been had they wagered all their outrights... to place only

Thanks

Steve
I was looking at hypothetical situation on top 5. My reason for using you and LIA is you both make several e/w choices per week and are successful at doing so. I was wondering if doing top 5 only would increase your profits.
My reasoning is--is taking 5 players @ 50/1 to win can only produce a max return on any 1 player of 10/1 and 0 other 4.
I have usually only bet top 5 with max of 5 wagers so all would be in play. Several years ago we had numerous books that took top 5 on 4 tours. About 4 years ago all U.S. including 5d and Oly (at that time) quit lining top 5's on LPGA and Seniors within a 1 month time frame. I have only one account (In Australia) that offers top 5 on beards and bush.

That why I was interested to see if profit of those that consistently winners would increase on a place only system.

Speaking of guys that hit consistent long shots...remember Riddle..that guy was unbelievable!

I completely agree with this statement. This is by far the best area of any forum on the net. Stanley puts in a lot of work to accurately track records, and it is certainly refreshing to see good information being used for profit, while contributors remain positive and helpful with one another.

Cheers
