It that time of year again and I am PUMPED UP about this years sale B/C

The council has gone with a different Vendor for this years Popcorn drive to support Scouting
:00hour
The vendor this year is Campmaster, no more Trails End:00hour

MORE CHOICES/BIGGER SIZES!!!

FOOTBALL is back and :popcorn2 make a GREAT, GAMETIME Snack/Meal :0003

and most importantly.....

TINS ARE BACK :0corn :0corn

So here we go.....

I have 2 boys, Hayden is in CubScouts and he is a wolf scout, and Spencer is in Boy Scouts, he just got his 1st class rank and was elected Patrol Leader:00hour

The annual popcorn drive helps support sending the boys to summer camp, camporees, local council events etc...
it helps relieve some of the costs parents pay AND teaches the boys about personal management and fiscal responsibility.

70% of your purchase goes to local scouting with 33% going back to the Troop or Pack.

I am Cubmaster for Pack 258 and this sell, if successful, can offset parents $ burden, b/c we can pick up extras costs and not pass down to parents.

Lawtchan, I'm not fussing at you, but the objective is for you to take your son out and sell the product WITH him to teach him sales, ettiquette, face to face communication, etc............NOT to sell the popcorn FOR him.

He sells quite a bit. He sells about 70% of his totals. In fact, he paid for summer camp himself this year, about $300.00. :0074

We do door to door and show n sells around the neighborhood, church, in front of Kroger, and gambling forums. :0008 :popcorn2 :0corn

It's a sore spot because I took a Monday off of work, dressed the boy up in his uniform and took him to where I work to sell, thinking we would make a killing. Everyone had already bought theirs from a parent who had simply taken their kids' form and set it on the break room table.

Hudson Valley area.....NY
Have MJ or someone send me your e-mail address..I'll order a few things...

My all time favorite story about selling door to door..told it here in MJ's many moons ago...my wife and I had just moved up here in the Hudson Valley..3 houses down from us we had some neighbors that had 3 or 4 kids...think after the 1st week their kids would knock on our door and ask for Brownie,Girl Scout,Little league,Ele school, middle school, athletic, travel team,etc,etc...My wife and I would always buy something..krispy creams because we don't get those in NY,etc...my wife and I would joke around and say " can't wait to have our own kids someday so we can get even"..they continued to sell to us over the years..never ever did we say no...a few more years went by and box and mrs box had out 1st child...maybe a few years later in I sent my daughter over there...she was in brownies...she came back and told her mrs.h said she didn't need any cookies...I was so mad..my wife calmed me down and said let it go...I told her " no f..ing way"...we bought hundreds of dollars from them...we even joked about this for the past 5 or 6 years...so I went over and let the mother have it...told her from day 1 when we arrived what we bought from her kiddys....mentioned everything I donated or and bought.....told her I'm sending my daughter back over and you better buy something..and as I left I told her my wife is expecting in a few months...so you better get ready...I ended up with 4 kids and those people never said no again to any of my kids...:mj07:
