Boston is legit.

We shall see what happens. Absolutely ridiculous that the Leafs have to play Boston in the first round, the NHL playoff format is not only stupid but completely unfair.

Boston Bruins with 112 pts play the Toronto Maple Leafs with 105 pts in the first round, yeah that makes fucking sense, absolutely stupid. :nono:

Should be like the NBA where 1/8 2/7 3/6 4/5 meet up. No way in hell Boston and the Leafs should be playing in the first round.

The Leafs finished with 5 more points the the Penguins and the Leafs have to play Boston, fuck that shit:mad:

NHL needs to change that stupid as fuck format.

You're talking to someone who had his team play the President's trophy winner in the second round each of the last two years.

You didn't seriously make that wager, did you?

Boston is legit.

I did.
Got me some Leafs series at +140.
I don't think the Leafs are going to drop a game at home to the Bruins, here.
At least, I give them a high chance of winning their home games, and they may get 3.
I only need a 42% chance on Leafs to take the series for 'even' value on this play.
Totally emotional factors playing into the move--and I'll be rooting for the Leafs barring a stupor that makes me play against them (again, fuck emotion)--but I've read and heard some other commentators make their arguments for the series and it doesn't sound as wacko as your comment makes it out to be. Personally, I think the Lightning are unstoppable if Vasilevsky returns to any kind of form.

GL to you both

kickserv...you in T.O.?...we should grab a brew or a coffee sometime (whatever your into) and gab some sports shit...we both been jackin' mad around here for ages and I never seem to make it to Superbowl parties or what-have-you. I have grabbed a drink with a couple other MJ'ers from T.O., but the last one was about a decade ago so please don't test my memory on who they were.

Penguins look great.
Jets, too, but not getting traffic to the net. Some shots, but not dangerous.

I don't think it's "wacko" that Toronto could win the series, I just think the price you got was robbery. Boston is real good, like really good. With the series in Boston I think 35/40 cents is a ripoff, you should be getting +165 IMO before you consider that a playable wager.

Fair enough. No offense intended and I confess, again, that there is a large emotional/homer component to my play. I'll watch the shit regardless, and should realize from my great experience watching the Jays playoff go a couple years back--where I took a break from betting--that I don't need action to enhance the entertainment value. I'm having a surreal April, however, leaving my Pinny account mildly bloated, so I grabbed some +140 series. Think I've seen it dip to +128 and now back up to +133 or so. Nobody reading this should base any bet on my play, here.

I cussed out Freddy Anderson in a post early in the season, and then he started playing much better from what I've seen. My faith in him is still limited though I don't believe that Rask is any major step up. Leafs O is full of energy and attack while I get the Bruins as more of an efficient, offensive machine; looking to set up high percentage opportunities. Lots of discussion about B's having the 'top line' in the NHL (Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak) but I gather the O's to be pretty even or maybe with an edge to the Leafs with their better depth. B's have the better D (over Leafs, most do) and I figure it helped getting Chara some 'rest', due to injury, the latter part of the season (similar for Matthews). Speaking of health concerns, it appears that the Leafs are in a little better shape as I've heard/read that the Bruins are coming in a little less fit than the Leafs; not convinced by that one but time may or may not tell.

I do think that the Leafs are going to be solid at home...again, time will tell.
Starting after a break, in late January, the Leafs finished the season with 16 wins in 18 tries at home, with just a bizarre loss to the Sabres(2-3) and a tolerable beating by the Jets(1-3). Bruins, mind you, were also 12-3 at home over that same period.

Sorry to hijack your thread, in any way, kickserv.
Sorry, also, that you ain't around the city at the time.
Now that you mention it, though, I believe one of my hook-ups was with Toronto-Vigilante. He can correct me if I'm wrong about that, and he still partakes of the site, but that did ring a bell. Gotta be talkin' 12-13 years ago so I could very well be wrong or forgotten if the otherwise.

Really yes
2 points
Caps D is shit
Let's be honest this is sort of a big game in that locker room. With the awful penalty from #65 behind the net. I see a more disciplined game from them. Still see it flying over bc their D is so bad. Also I expect them to get the calls tonight

Solid points, good luck. I'm not on the other side at all, I can't bet an under in a Caps game as they may score 6 themselves on any given night. Your defense is certainly a bit suspect, but when your forwards come back and support it certainly changes things.
