I realize I am not exactly going out on a limb posting a selection with that kind of chalk, but I simply don't get why Edmonton is getting all this hype. Ya can't turn on any Sports Channel here in Canada without hearing how great Edmonton is, and how they will win the Cup and blah blah blah blah. Judging by all the "expert picks" I have read on various websites and any other type of media you'd think Edmonton was already in the Final and up 3 games to zero.:facepalm: I mean just give the Cup to the Oilers already and be done with it.

Again, I just don't understand all the hype with this Edmonton team. Their goaltending isn't exactly stellar, their 4th line fucking sucks, and their defense core is decent but not great. This Oilers team is in huge trouble if McDavid and Leon Draisaitl don't put up 5 point a game.

Edmonton ain't winning the Cup, hell, they won't even win the Western Conference. I would not be shocked in the least if they only won one round.

The chalk is a bit heavy, but this is as close to a lock as you can get.....Edmonton wins 2 rounds at best, and I doubt even that will happens. The only way any Oiler player sees the Stanley Cup is if they visit the Hockey Hall of Fame.

I didn't say they are a bad team, just massively over-hyped, they have plenty of weaknesses, but you'd never know it with almost everybody on the planet picking them to win the Cup.

The West is weaker than the East, and even with that...Edmonton still won't win the West, two series wins max for them. McDavid and Leon Draisaitl can only take you so far, their lack of depth with bite em eventually. And as I and Crookity previously mentioned, their goaltending isn't exactly what I'd call rock solid.
