As many of you guys and gals know I put on a Charity golf tournament each year for a Lawyer friend of mine that passed away last year and once again it is time to play! If any of you are interested in playing here is the information!
2nd Annual Shonn W. Walker Golf Tournament
All proceeds benefit a local womens and children charity( For abused women and children....Pilot light Home of Cullman )
Saturday August 10th, 2002
Cullman Municipal Golf Course
(Cullman Alabama.....45 miles North of Birmingham and 40 Miles South of Huntsville, located on I-65 )
4 man Scramble format
60.00 per person
240.00 per team
Tournament will be a shotgun start and begins at high noon!
There will be prize money for 1st, 2nd, 6th, 11th, 16th, and last place ( last year each team got their entry fee plus 50 bucks back ) Last places prize is yet to be determined!
Lunch will be served starting at 11:00 a.m.
Each team will receive 1 mulligan per side per team and one power drive per side per team.
( Power drive = You get to hit from the ladies tees )
Last year I raised around $3,500.00 dollars for the charity and had 22 teams of 4 people and had 36 hole sponsors. This year I would like to try to double that! This is for a good cause and really helps with some of the more unfortunate people in our community.
All donations are tax deductable and are greatly appreciated. So any of you guys that may not be interested in playing can sponsor a hole or just make a charitable donation. Jack....I would love to have madjacks sponsor a hole in my tournament!
Hole sponsorships are 100.00 per hole and include adverisement on our shirts and adds!
Charitable donations are 50.00 and that gets your name on our patrons list on the Shirts!
If you live in the area and are a fun loving person.....give it a shot we just go out to raise money for a good cause and to have a load of fun! Drink beer, play golf and socialize. So get yourselves a team up and come join me and my friends for a great day of golf and fun!
