Don't write off the poms until after the toss. The Team batting 1st has a huge asvantage at Adleaide as the pitch wears out rapidily during days 4 and 5. If England win the toss back them as the price of the Aussies will shorten and you should be able to get a good price them in the run. Over the last 5 years the team batting first have managed an average score of 435, this includes the West Indies who scored 391 after being flogged in the previous two tests. Australia manged to win that, but lost 5 wickets chasing 130 on the last day. The team batting second only averages 327 so this is a huge advantage if you bat 1st. A good play should be england for 1st innings lead if they win the toss. SportingOdds have an handicap of 145. A large start even before the toss

I posted some plays in the community pages.

I agree that 145.5 runs is a lot, but this England bowling line up is the weakest I have seen in twenty years. Struggle to bowl the Aussies out once.

England mentally scared from first test at the Gabba, pressure on to preform is not ideal.

UPDATE

The way I see it. After England won the toss on a flat dry wicket 400 runs was always going to be a par score. At present I can see England maybe getting to 450 runs. The tail starts at number 8 and all 4 batsman are county 10's or rabbits. This tail will not wag. Australia will make 600+ in just under two days leaving England over 150 runs behind with one and a half days left. With Warne coming into the game more on a dry and large cracked wicket England will do well to score 250, leaving the baggy greens a formality low score to win.

I do feel that the Aussies were rob as Vaughan was out caught by Langer, but the third umpire said not out. If no third umpire was in operation the descission would still have been not out as the umpire referred it implying he was not certain if out or in. As we know the saying "if in doubt not out".

What I would like to see is honesty come back into the game but no chance of that. In reality the Aussies shouldn't winge at the descission as its through them that third umpires are used after a former Aussie captain claimed a catch when the ball bounced 12 inches in front of him and Atherton was given out. Television evidence clearly showed what had happened. So stop crying in your spilt milk and play the game in the spirit it should be played.

For those that want a certain winner Spotingodds have reduced the handicap lead to 55.5 runs for Australia. This is a must bet for anyone who wants to wager.

Also after just one day Australia are now 6/4 (+150) to win the second test. Australia score so quickly that matches are very rarely draws. Once again I make this a sound bet.

Good luck to you all.

Boris

We have many good young keepers but the selectors are frightened of change. When anyone young and new enters the squad they rarely play. Selectors wont take a chance incase of failkure, our answer is dont try you won't know. Anyway it cant get any worse that what it really is, can it?

We fail in the batting on a regular basis. Our bowling attack is limited to one class bowler, Gough and he's been injured now for 12 months.

I did say we had a shit bowling attack. I hope you took advantage of my plays I posted. Handicap moved to -199.5 for Australia first innings lead. 6/4 was also an unbelievable price. These bookmakers have failed to grasped that tests are very seldom draws now, yet people still want to back the draw.
The scoring rate is higher, time added on at end of play to complete the required number of overs. Time also added on following days to make up loss of rain or bad light.

Good luck.

PAWAQATSI why do you always live in the past.

Come back and post when Australia are world champs at football, ice hockey, basketball.
You may retain the cricket world cup but rugby, forget it. You are behind England, France and New Zealand.

I notice you only got one out of three in your match up bets.

Read the posts of people who know the sport. I gave you a certain winner and another if the weather holds out. Another two winners on the cricket in my community pages for more PROFIT. Anti-post looking good so far so even more PROFIT.

If its ?'s or $'s you want to win in this message forum follow the Brits.

BB,
You're not even 6 Nats champs, so settle down!

I rarely take other people's plays, at least until I've watched them for a while, but I'm in the UK at the moment, simply taking heart at the reaction of the locals each morning after the cricket...

Best way to trade on cricket is in the run...

Betfair flucs on day 1 for Australia 1.45 start of play, 3.40 at the start of the last over, 2.60 overnight. From there on in, it was just a Status Quo song... down, down, deeper and down.....

Hi Boris

Hope you enjoy your stay here in England. Wet, cold weather, god I'll love to be over in Oz with all that glourious weather.

I agree with you, money to be made betting in running.

As I posted before day two, Australia (a certain winning bet) to lead after first innings giving up -55.5 runs. Followed up by Australia to win 2nd Test @ 2.5 (6/4).

My posts were fairly accurate. I did say England had a shit bowling attack and would struggle to get 10 wickets let alone bowl the Aussies out twice to win.

I come on here to help others make their betting profitable, (up by over 60 points in four months) not to get sledged and called a wanker. I dont recite what us Brits are good at or crap at, I call it how I see it from a logical point of view. We can all recite from history but its not what happened last week or last year that matters it's what is now or in the future.

I have given an opinion, Australia are not good enough to win the Rugby World Cup, for me it's New Zealand with France as the danger. Australia are rightly favourites for the Cricket World Cup, but not to the extent the bookmakers favour them. Write India off at your peril. Forget their performances to the Windies over the last few weeks. They have played non stop cricket for over 12 months now with tours to both the Windies and here in England. South Africa have tinkered with their side for the better since their drubbing by Australia last year.

Furthermore I didnt even mention about six nations but if you want a history lesson which clearly you Aussies do then remember this, where are you ranked in the FIFA world ratings for football, some 60 places below England. This is our National game. DO YOU REMEMBER 1966 !

Fair dinkum mate.......you crack me up!!!!
Like most whinging poms, a little bit of friendly sledging and you're off having a cry (much like your cricket team).

If you can't take it, then head back to the country club and order another Pimms and tonic. :D

As for your FIFA ravings.....very few people play that softco#k game over here due to the non-violent non-contact nature of said game. Which would explain our non-existent world ranking. But then again......I happen to notice that your mob isn't numero uno!! What are you guys actually number one at besides whining?? Darts perhaps??

....Oh, and can you tell us again just how good a tipster you are??
I seem to have missed it in your last few posts!!!

rankings, schmankings... you're first or nowhere.

I prefer www.Eloratings.net, better rating system, less blatant flaws. 6th vs 16th. However you look at it, you're talking about a sport which is your national game, and one that is about 8th in Oz.

India have no chance on southern hemisphere pitches, they are flat-track bullies, nothing more. Anytime that bowlers are required, they are exposed quicker than John Leslie on a morning chat show.

1966? Who the hell was born then?? Your wicketkeeper, and that's about it! That was about the last time you guys won the Ashes wasn't it? :D

Oh, and the quickest way to lose admirers is telling people how good you are... (although this tends to work with Americans)

I am not a whinging pom.

We accept we are crap at Cricket and a number of other sports, yet we dont make excuses like "we dont care, not enough contact in the sport".

I think you forget that the Aussies put out a Aussies rule team to play an Irish team at both aussie rules and gaelic football. Guess what you ignorant pigs#!t's got beat at both.

Let me give you a little history lesson as you all love quoting the past.

All your ancestors are convicts from the great island of Britain. So the bottom line is your all British.
You are as Aussies part of the commomwealth, the Queen is the monachy of the commonwealth. The Queen resides in Britain and is British. What's it like living under British rule?

I always knew you aussies were shitting dumb.
If you come under British rule and monachy you are the ones who are the prisonners of mother england. You live thousands of miles away yet ruled from Britain. If that doesn't make you prisonners I dont know what does.

When you want to be constructive post again, otherwise run along you little boys.
As the saying goes. "Little boys must be seen but not heard".

As they say lets put the BS flag up for the Aussie convicts.
