Okay the Dog catcher would have a field day with tonight's card so strap on the flea collars and hump a leg because here I go:
:shade: Watch Dog
This puppy will bite anyone coming into th dog house:
Friars +3
The irish is in for some trouble tonight and you will not need the points as the Friars get the Big east win in this one. The irish are 4-1 on a neutral court but winless on the road and we get them with one eye on the contest with the BC eagles next week. Bad mistake. The friars have some road tests coming up in the Big east so it is important they win the ones at home. WOOF!
:yup Hot Dog
VT +3.5
Nothing like a game on national television to make a bad team show up and play some decent basketball. Why else would a 10-5 team be favored by just over one peach basket against a 7-8 club? Well I have to have a bit more than that to throw the dough so how about momentum as the hokies just put over 90 on the board against the same friars who are going to beat the Irish tonight and they are 21-14 at home against the Cavaliers so we have that rivalry thing going too. The last bone is that the Hokies can shoot the long biscuit and that can keep them in this one and help them pull away when they ahve the lead. Another small dog takes a bite out of Golaith. Bow Wow!
 Devil Dog
Drake +10
Drake? Yeppers me likee Drake tonight getting a handful over the Shockers. The Bulldogs (that's still drake) look like they are in line for a neuter as they go to Witchita because they are 8-2 at home and have won eight staright so go ahead drop the super size dime on the Shockers and give me an 1 I like short lines at the pay window.
Okay really the bulldogs will play some tough hoop in this one as they have been playing tough teams on the road and against good teams which will give them an edge. While Wichita State was in the midst of playing eight straight games at home, Drake played nine of 11 games on the road from Nov. 29 to Jan. 5.
The Missouri Valley Conference schedule makers weren't too kind to Drake either as the Bulldogs opened league play with back-to-back road games at defending co-league champions Southern Illinois and Creighton. That capped off a four-game roadswing where the Bulldogs also played at Iowa State and current Sun Belt Conference leader Denver.
To top it off they can win one for the kipper in this spot too. GAME NO. 500 FOR DRAKE COACH: Kurt Kanaskie will reach a milestone Tuesday when he coaches his 500th game as a collegiate head coach. Kanaskie ranks second among all active Missouri Valley Conference Coaches with 266 victories trailing Indiana State's Royce Waltman who has 275. Drake also leads the MVC in free throw shooting and I love the free bones late in a game. Ruff Ruff
Hopefully we all don't end up in the pound!:scared
