I really don't understand this point of view. They are putting rules in to make the game safer. Yea, it changes the game to more speed and skill over brute force, but I think it's the right change to make.

I grew up with the Steelers of the 70's so I understand what winning games by overpowering your opponent is all about. I also see what it did to the lives of guys like Mike Webster.

I'm all for making the game safer, even if it means getting rid of the big blow up hits.

Lets do what we can with the rules to keep the great players on the field and serious injury to as small a number as possible.
