Getting aboard the Fresno State train again this week as they play host to SMU.

4* Fresno State -23
The Dogs are banged up on defense and might not have the services of RB Davis, BUT it'll take a miracle for the Mustangs to keep pace with the Bulldogs at their place. Last year, Fresno State walked all over SMU in Texas and you can expect more this year. The 'Dogs are gaining confidence in their offense and Pinegar looked real good against a good defense in CSU last week. This week, he gets to take on a defense that allows 440 yds per game on the road while allowing opponents to score 37 ppg. Fresno State's defense looks no where like it did last year, but they do play extremely well at home giving up just 22ppg at home, and HC Hill has his team believing that they can win the conference title. Fresno has the 100 ranked rushing defense in the nation, but with no passing game to set up the run (a la West Viriginia) the Bulldogs will just stack up the line of scrimmage and stuff the run. Look for the Bulldog's special teams to come up big again. They are the key to this team's success and we fully expect them to come up with a few scores of their own. Our computer rankings has the Bulldogs winning this game by 35 points. If Hawaii could hang 42 on them, we see no reason why the 'Dogs won't be able to score at least that much while holding the one-dimensional SMU offense to score very little. Bulldogs in a rout!

Final Score: Fresno State 52 SMU 17
