f this was the year of the 4 team playoff,it is my understanding that ND would play Fla and Ga would play Bama according to the BCS rankings,,Well,,Ga and Bama is playing,,,and look at all the controversy that would be going on with oregon at number 5,,,I know it will never end,but is the 4 teams enough of a playoff?

Yes... bottom line is you will never satisfy everyone. Everyone has a shot to get in the top 4 now... You have to draw the line somewhere and just stick with it

I would go with 8..The reasoning is IF it was what you said Oregon only had one loss this year and they deserve at least a chance...If you go with 8 teams the odds of having teams with only one loss at 9 and below are fairly slim. So what i'm saying is anyone with 2 losses really can't complain if they don't make it but if you have teams with one loss which your almost always gonna have in the 5-6 and maybe 7-8 slot they deserve a chance at a playoff. :popcorn2

Seeding would be decided after conf. Champ games.

The loser of uga/bama would be out.

It would be flordia, notredame, uga/bama, and probably stanford.

starting next year the are to put more emphasis on conf. Champions. Stanford beat oregon at oregon and are most likely going to be conf. Champs. Stanford in and oregon out.

1. ND vs 4. Stanford

2. Bama vs. 3. Flordia

Would love it.

Sec semi final and a game that went to overtime earlier in the year in notredame.

If it wouldn't be Oregon then it would be KState. Stanford doesn't just KSt in that scenario.

Ya you are correct forgot about them.

If standford wins and kstate loses to texas then it will happen.

Texas will be lucky with their backup qb to keep it within 28 points on Sat night in my opinion

poolplayer,,,Great analogy,,and makes perfect sense,,Or what about this,,All one loss teams and undefeated teams ,,no matter the number,,goes to a playoff??That way as you say,,probably no moire than 10 on a great year,,,and the higher ranked teams get a bye if need be,but that way you know going in to the first game of the year 2 losses and you are done,,:0008

Poolplayer, could not agree more. 8 teams would be perfect.

There also needs to be some kind of consistency. Its not fair that some teams have to play a conference title game and others don't. ND doesn't have to risk losing in a title game and an even bigger scenario...what if ND lost to USC and you have the SEC title game producing one team while Florida....who doesn't even make it to their conf title game, waiting to play for NATIONAL title?? Similar to Alabama last year I guess.

I would like an 8-team playoff though. #9 can complain all they want..

Yeah i haven't sorted out every last detail BUT 8 team would be AWESOME...Let's sat Wisconsin wins and end up 8-5 do u let them in 8 team playoff?? Same with G. tech if they pull off upset and beat FSU...I would say if i had to say at this moment how it will be and that's the final decision you play out all conf title games and then when EVERY game is done then you have some people decide kinda like NCAA hoops. Badgers still do Rose if they win Conf title game as a reward but don't get to 8 team playoff cus of being 8-5. Like i said earlier i would much rather have team 9 complain with 2 losses in a n 8 team playoff then team 5 complain with 1 loss in a 4 team playoff.
