Thanks for the kudos on the weekend fellas. Much appreciated !!!

I found another one tonight that I like.

4 Units Houston (+127)

Yes, Houston has been a bad road show YTD (7-24), but this has been a very overlooked team for a couple of weeks now.

They are 5-1 in their last 6 and 10-5 in their last 15.........pretty impressive. Simply, they are playing good baseball now.

Baltimore started the year 17-7 but is only one game over .500 since at 20-19. They are 2-4 over their last 6 games and are just 18-14 at home YTD..........you would think a first place team would be better at home than that. This is also the 2nd game back home following a 13 game road trip and unlike hockey and basketball where the 1st game home following a road trip is often a money maker, smarter people than me say the 2nd game at home in baseball is the spot to play the visitor.

Advantage: Houston

On the mound tonight, Andy Petitte starts for the Astros and he has been lights out in his last 3 starts..................19 IP, 1.42 ERA, 0.74 WHIP. It's the Andy Petitte of old !!! In his career against Baltimore, he is only 20-4, including 8 straight wins and is 12-2 lifetime at Camden Yards with a sparkling 2.39 ERA.

Bruce Chen takes the ball for the Orioles and although he hasn't pitched that bad, Baltimore has lost his last 3 starts. Lefties especially have hit him hard. In 27 career innings vs the Astros his ERA is 3.33.

Advantage: Houston

In Batting , both teams numbers drop when they face L's so I'm going to call this a sawoff.

I see enough advantages and the price is right, so I'm on the visiting Astros as a good $$$$ dog tonight.

4 Units Houston (+127)

Good luck out there tonight,

tiger you have been extremely impressive with your 4 unit plays. But just wanted to let you know Houston is 1-11, -$1020, 1.2RPG against LHP on the road. In relatively small Baltimore Park Orioles home era is 3.45

but best of luck

Thanks for the replies guys.

Shamrock....................Good capping uncovering those numbers...........those are great stats to have at your fingertips when you cap games.

But, I always look closer at "what have you done for me lately".

Over the last three weeks, Houston is 4-2 in their last 6 road games (one of the 2 losses was to Pedro) and have beaten the only 2 lefties that started against them. Their earlier season numbers may no longer be appropriate.

Thanks for checking in and good luck tonight.

well, now that you got that inevitable loss out of the way, you can start another amazing run Tiger. You'll bounce back tomorrow for sure.
