Thanks for the kudos on the weekend fellas. Much appreciated !!!
I found another one tonight that I like.
4 Units Houston (+127)
Yes, Houston has been a bad road show YTD (7-24), but this has been a very overlooked team for a couple of weeks now.
They are 5-1 in their last 6 and 10-5 in their last 15.........pretty impressive. Simply, they are playing good baseball now.
Baltimore started the year 17-7 but is only one game over .500 since at 20-19. They are 2-4 over their last 6 games and are just 18-14 at home YTD..........you would think a first place team would be better at home than that. This is also the 2nd game back home following a 13 game road trip and unlike hockey and basketball where the 1st game home following a road trip is often a money maker, smarter people than me say the 2nd game at home in baseball is the spot to play the visitor.
Advantage: Houston
On the mound tonight, Andy Petitte starts for the Astros and he has been lights out in his last 3 starts..................19 IP, 1.42 ERA, 0.74 WHIP. It's the Andy Petitte of old !!! In his career against Baltimore, he is only 20-4, including 8 straight wins and is 12-2 lifetime at Camden Yards with a sparkling 2.39 ERA.
Bruce Chen takes the ball for the Orioles and although he hasn't pitched that bad, Baltimore has lost his last 3 starts. Lefties especially have hit him hard. In 27 career innings vs the Astros his ERA is 3.33.
Advantage: Houston
In Batting , both teams numbers drop when they face L's so I'm going to call this a sawoff.
I see enough advantages and the price is right, so I'm on the visiting Astros as a good $$$$ dog tonight.

Good luck out there tonight,
