Jose Cortez either shanked a 19 yd field-goal or it was blocked. Niners outgain Detroit by almost 300 yards...only win by 8..ugh.

Blocked Field Goal!

I would have been happier if they would have tried one more time to pound it in!

Mariucci is a very questionable coach at best. What owens had said earlier in the week was imo very true. His problem is he doesnt have a killer instict. not saying today he didnt want to run it up, but a play action on 3rd and goal or something of that nature would have scored a td and ended the game. instead, he risks a blocked fg. What are the better percentages? gaining one yard or lining up a field goal. worst case, det would be pinned on their goalline down 8. Mariucci wont be around in sf much longer unless he starts thinking.

Rich- I agree with you assessment of Mariucci. Even on 4th and 1 from the two yardline, try and punch it in. If they don't make it, fine..Lions still have to go 99 yards to score. If they make it, game is over. Risking a block..which happened...and chancing a return off the block for a TD..bad coaching. Made a similar bad move against the Jets on the Monday night game..even though the Niners ended-up winning..had a 4th and two millimeters at the two yard line..kicked a field goal that time too.

I know I am on a rampage about the bears game, but I never thought I would be saying this but with what has transpired the last couple of weeks I am beginning to think that some aspect of these games are fixed, they have to be, this shit can't be a coincidence. And it always happens so a team doesn't cover the spread

I hate the ****ing bears!!!!!!!!!

BTW I had SF also, got ****ed twice again this week and still haven't been kissed.
