I don't even know if there are many movies originally shot in 4k... and you won't see any difference between 4k and 8k if both displays are calibrated to same brightness and color levels.

Didn't watch the video, but 4k needs way less processing power from tv to handle motion correctly.

I thought about getting 4k television but panels have been same basic panels last 3-4 years, all made by LG. Maybe next panel generation but not yet. And it's not just tv but player and movies... i have about 5-600 HD-movies and at least 50 of those should be in 4k if i get one... Means 4k-player and 4k movies will cost at least same as tv :0003

I see the guy in the image and refuse to click on the video.

He looks like one of those "have you tried these higher quality $$$-audio cables ? they make such a difference in your av-system!"-guys.

I bought a 4k TV in 2013 ........big mistake, I paid WAY more for the latest technology. The cable providers only had a couple of channels in 4k and it took years for them to catch up to the technologies and still is very remote to see anything in 4K. So I paid an extra couple of grand for nothing xstop.
I will wait a few years to see if sporting events and movies are being shown in 8K before I ever upgrade again.
Interesting video, will see if much is televised using 8k in the future..........
