Jets Over 41 1 pm est
We're going to play the Jets over agins TW.
LW, the Vikes put up 389 total yards while
scoring only 7 pts. Four untimely TO's kept
them from putting more pts up. This was the
first time TY that the Jets allowed less than
4 TD's. Even so, the Jets are allowing an
alarming 28+ ppg. The Browns are still having
a big tendency to play over away. Three of the
four Browns road games have gone over so far,
which brings them up to 14-5 Over away L3Ys.
The Browns are averaging 23 ppg while allowing
21.6 a game. Cleveland has a good group of WR's
no matter which QB is at work. Pennington has
looked good since takining over for the ineffective
Vinny Testaverde.
Steelers -2 1 pm est
Our riding the Steelers strategy has us up to
2-0-1 after our MN win. That moves their
record to 11-0-1 ats the L3Ys in October
& 30-13-1 ats S'92 in wks 5 thru 9 !!!
The home team is 1-6-1 ATS the last 8 & has
lost the last 6 outright. The Ravens have never
beaten the Steelers SU or ATS at home S '97.
Pittsburgh is 13-3 ATS after allowing 13 or
less pts & has gone a solid 8-4 ats vs the
Ravens. The loss of Bettis doesn't hurt near
as much as the loss of Ray Lewis for Balt.
The Steelers have 2 very good BU RB's who
are used to the fill in role while the Ravens
rarely win w/o Lewis. We'll keep riding the
Steeler "Bus" even if Bettis can't drive.
Tampa Bay -7 1 pm est
Easy play here as we rate TB a 2 TD fav
Reality is laying in after the Panthers hot start
& they are way overmatched again here. We
also have a nice 10-1 ats play against system
that gives support to our assessment.
NE -3 4:15 pm est
System play going that is 19-4 ats.
New England 7-1 ATS off a non-conf game
and are in a bad scheduling spot. Denver is
in their 2nd straight tough rd venue & may be
a bit drained after somehow coming from behind
at KC last week & off the unlikely home loss to
the Dolphins. The Pats have had two weeks to
rest after a bad home performance & loss to GB.
We always like to play on Belicheks teams with
the added advantage of an extra week to prepare
as he comes up with some fantastic defensive
schemes.
Don't Play Against
AZ, Det, Chic
Since 1998 underdogs off an overtime game
are 33-11-2 ATS 6-3-1
came very close to playing this, but I
have 4 going I like much better.
Bengals +5 1 pm est Light Play
There aren't many good spots for Cincy but
they have a few systems going in their favor.
A 17-5 ats system spanning 16 yrs, & a BYE
system that is 14-2-0 ATS. Tenn the L3Ys is
0-4 ats off a bye & 0-4 ats as a 3.5 to 7 pt rd
fav., but we still rate them a TD favorite.
