All 3 of those are risky IMO. Suico-Fanna maybe the least risky but Suico can punch and it's not like Fanna has ever fought anyone good before. Actually neither guy has fought anyone good before. Suico is big and can punch though.

Monshippour stopped Medjkoune in round 12 last time. If nothing else that should be encouragement. he knows he can stop medjkoune.

Harmon's been stopped 3 times and Telesco can punch as well. That price is to high to be laying IMO.

Last time that you played a couple that I didn't like you went 0-2. Watch you go 3-0 this time :D

MayorgaFan (my grindstone)
Good to see you back in my thread, I thought I lost you when I went on a 6-1 run the last few weeks. (working on 4 in a row)

Btw, I've now been posting boxing plays here at M.J.s for a full year. Here's my record for the last 12 months:

Totals: +23.4 units
3 unit plays: 1-0 +3
2 unit plays: 13-5 +2.8
1 unit plays: 51-19 +12.75
1/2 unit plays: 24-11 +2.65
Dogs: 9-18 +3.4
(hedges -1.2)

Obviously I don't need your help but I appreciate the effort. The boxing end of this forum gets pretty boring, so believe it or not I actually look forward to you breaking down my picks. Sure you only respond when you disagree buts thats fine with me. I like hearing the other side of the story from a guy who supposably knows what he's talking about. It helps me keep my edge and stay sharp (thus my grindstone).

Your right, I only post towards you when I disagree. IMO that's what these forums are for. If you can disagree wth someone and back up your opinion with valid reason's why, then it's a good thing IMO :nono: When I said why I thought the Chi-Brodie fight and Ruiz-oquendo fights would go under, my reasoning was 100% correct. I don't post towards you when I agree, why would I?? There's no debating when you agree with each other. Not to pat myself on the back because I don;t post plays anyways, but there's no supposedly about it, I do know what I am talking about. It helps when you see so many of these guys previous fights.

Also, it's not like I come into your threads and say stuff after the fights happen. I let my opinions be known beforehand. Nobody can predict everything poerfectly though, let's see how this week goes. Despite the high level of risk in these 3 fights, you could go 3-0 or 2-1. We will see soon enough.

Corrales is fighting Freitas on August 7th at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, it should be an excellent fight.

"the bunker"
i took a couple flyers

i took a couple flyers

on......eric regan-185 to get some "get back" vs journeyman pedro ortega .......ortega lost a 10 round decision in their first go round....then tko`d regan legitimately in the 2nd go round.....
they are fighting in california....close to regan`s backyard....of course ortega is mexican so he`ll have some following,also....

regan was considered somewhat of a prospect prior to the loss to ortega....ortega`s a bit wild...and to be truthful,he is a journeyman....he almost always loses when he steps up....

i see regan being more careful and boxing his way to a win(he`s 6`4" tall) to get his career back on track....

a little steep...but i suspect if regan can
finish,he`ll get the nod....he`s the guy with the future...

don`t like laying odds, but, what the hey....

btw,the odds jumped all the way up to around -260...i wouldn`t lay that much,myself...

also took a flyer on david telesco at +125 when it opened....i don`t like this as much now that the line has moved towards telesco....he`s 36....he`s been relatively inactive....he`s fighting a solid lefty....even though harmon has hit a rough patch in his career..lost 4 of his last 7.....but look closer....roy jones....montell griffin....michalczewski....and cruiser o`neil bell...

that`s being in real tough...

also, telesco has fought basically no one since roy jones and has a fairly recent draw with journeyman ray berry....

you know what,i talked myself out of telesco.....i`m going to buy out of telesco with harmon at even money(this line really jumped)........if harmon wins, break even....if telesco wins,a very small payday.....

damn...based on my own analysis, harmon looks like the play.....lol

looking forward to june 5th...i think that verno phillips at +240 is a value....he`s been hot...i know ouma is a champion waiting to happen...but,he was knocked down 3 times and stopped by a 10-16 guy earlier in his career....and i saw him fade badly vs angel henandez...he was lucky to get the decision....

phillips has now seen ouma once....he`s as hot as anybody......tremendous stamina.....this is probably his last shot at the bigtime...

+240?.....i`ll take the shot....well worth the wager....at the very least,we may get to see the fight of the year...

Harmon-Telesco

Harmon-Telesco

Harmon beat Glencoffe Johnson over 10 rounds two years ago and went 12 with Montell Griffen last year. Sure he has been stopped 3 times but let's look at how and by whom:

Roy Jones Jr. TKO 10 This was not a knock-out, it was a corner retirement before round 11

Darious Michelhoweveryouspellit KO 9 Again in the late rounds and to a much better fighter than Telesco, in Germany where Darious has stopped most of his opponents.

O'Neil Bell TKO 8 Are you kidding me, this shouldn't even count. Harmon stepped up to cruiser and went 8 rounds with one of the biggest punchers in the division. Bell weighed 193, 18 pounds more than Telesco weighed in at yesterday.

Telesco has been KO'ing scrubs and that's it. Letterlough lasted the full 10 with Telesco and then got dropped in the second round by Hall. Last year Telesco fought to an 8 round draw with Ray Berry who was 19-9 at the time, and is 19-15 now. Here's the kicker, after Berry went the distance with Telesco, he was stopped in his next 5 fights!!!

I don't think Telesco has that much power, and he admits he doesn't like fighting southpaws. If he can't beat Ray Berry, how's he going to beat Harmon, let alone stop him. I'm kicking myself for not playing Harmon @ +110, but if he wins most likely it will go the distance as Harmon doesn't have a lot of power and Telesco has a great chin.

I can't believe Harmon opened @ -185 and is now the dog.

Good insight on these bouts from all you guys. I am actually on Harmon. i thought he became a play when he dropped to -125. at this point, +110 he is almost a 'must' play. I know telescos last opponent from me sparring with him in 1997. The guy was bad then and bad now. If Harmon has anything left, he should be able to grind out a 10 round decision. I surely hope so.

No. I have yet to really actually discuss this one on one with Spiro yet, but this marriage appears to be over. I did however provide them with alot of numbers already for the upcoming fights, so I imagine they will be putting them up themselves for those bouts anyway. I am doing fine though. My phone hasn't stopped ringing. I'm sure you will see odds all over early from now on that will clearly give you the same options as OLY if they opt to stop the fight game all together. I have already began to branch out more. If you are looking for a particular bout and don't see it, you can privately email me, and I will point you in right direction. I don't want to publicly steer people from OLY as Spiro and I were friends up till this splitting up, and despite us both being hot heads, me especially, I don't want to grind axes in the forums. He did what he felt was best for his bizness.

Good call Joey, looks like you hung the line right where it should have been. The judge that had Telesco winning by 2 rounds should have their licence revoked.
