Wed afternoon matinee special...senior senior discount... total $5.00 sat in the theater by myself.....the movie got 92% on Rotten tomatoes..... " Hell and High Water". When I saw your post about Wells Fargo " Hell and High Water " hit home...about two Texas bank robbers hitting some banks that foreclose on people in West Texas... if you like the "dude" Jeff Bridges he is great as a Texas Ranger....just give him the academy award right now...Wells Fargo Bank is no different then the Midland bank in the movie...no spoiler alert needed... you cheer.....glad they fired all those Wells fargo people...

I remember reading about this YEARS ago. Some stupid exec decided to rule by fear saying if you don't open X new accounts per month, you're canned. Employees cannot control that. It's stupid to put out that rule. I hope that exec who approved all this gets what's coming to him.

When a manager puts a thoughtless and ridiculous metric on the employees the employees are going to figure out the way to meet that metric.

This is known as "managing to the metric" and often looked at as amazingly dumb.


This wasn't a few people going rogue, this is the entire population changing the way things happened in order to make that bottom number look great for some dude 5 levels removed from what is going on.
