Hi, I just won very big on USC in the Rose Bowl. I like to spread my money around in different sportsbooks (currently have 5 sportsbooks). So right now I am looking to add another to the list. I think i remember hearing good things about 5 dimes (also madjack sponsor), but i wanted to hear peoples opinions on them before I join.

My main concern is how safe my money is. I plan on leaving my money in their for at least 6months because they have a 5times roll over. Also is the software easy to use/to place bets? Thanks and I look forward to your replies. I plan on joining next week sometime.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!

What other books do you have? 5dimes is great for prop bets and they offer a ton of betting options (-1.5 runlines on baseball dogs, -0.5 pucklines on hockey dogs, etc.). I have not heard anything negative about their safety, though I currently am not funded there so I can't say for sure right now.

I have played with 16 Mad Jack's sponsors and about 9 other online books so if you tell me what type of bets you like to play, a relative size of your wagers and how you like to deposit and withdraw money, I might be able to give you a good recommendation.

Thanks for your reply. I like to spread my money around for safety reasons and take advantage of free bonus money (but only with good sportsbooks). 5dimes has a 20% matchplay, so if I deposit $5000 with them, i get a free $1000 wager. That is pretty nice. Now I would have to roll that over 5 freaking times, so that money will be in my account for a LONG LONG time. I think i only hve to roll it over if i win the match play. Anyhow, i also like the fact that 5dimes lets you take out WINNINGS without losing your bonus. Thats very fair.

I have accounts at.........

Pinnaclesports (my favorite)
Betwwts
Carib
Millenium
Gibraltar
BetPanAm

I don't really bet units (except when i coat-tail others). My bets vary, but my usual wager range is $50-$100. If I really like a bet, I bet $500-$1000. I usually win all my big bets, and usually break even or lose majority of my small bets. :D I guess I will take that ratio. I am the type of better who when i win i keep betting, and usually more and more and ride the streak out. When i lose, or lose big, i take 5-20days off. Seems to work for me. This year i had 1 really bad loss that hurt my account, and that was ASU over Iowa. I stopped betting for 3 weeks, came back and won for 6 straight weeks.

You dont get your free match play until after you roll your money over 5X or whatever they are requiring.

They are a solid book. Took a very large amount out a few weeks ago with no problems.

Scott,

Moreso what I meant was whether you play dogs rather than faves, unders rather than overs, parlays or teasers rather than straight bets, etc.

One book I see missing from your list is CRIS (www.betcris.com). They have the opening line and a lot of times you can get great value by betting early before a line moves. Obviously it takes an experienced player to do that. They have high limits and they don't jack up the juice on props like Olympic. If you are gonna put in 5 dimes obviously you won't get a $1000 free play but you will probably be better off long term. Figuring that a $1000 free play is worth about $500 in actual money, my preference would be to look for a book that offers more like a 10% cash bonus with a lower rollover if your goal is to go bonus fishing.

One last note. I know this is unsolicited advice, but if you normally play $50-$100, I would not keep $5000 offshore. I believe that bettors get killed worst when they go on tilt and if you only keep a small amount offshore at any given time, you can't lose as much when you do go on tilt. I bet $220 on most plays and I always try to keep $1500 or so offshore. If it gets above $2000 I usually make a withdrawl. Remember that getting money to an offshore to bet only takes a half an hour or so. If I do hit a down streak, it ain't hard to re-up. If I hit a bad streak and I had 4 or 5 dimes offshore, that money is gone forever.

You bring up good points. YES when i lose i always fight temptation to get it back. Usually only when i lose a large wager. If 5dimes makes me roll it over before i can use the match play, then i will not deposit so much money in their sportsbook. I'll look into it further.

You brought up good pts about CRIS. That is why Pinnacle is my favorite.

As for my style, I do not really have one. I do not wager on ML underdogs very often. I guess I bet more favorites. I hate betting on totals. I like 2h bets. On my really big bets I look for spread of -3 or less. I like it when the team is trying to win my bet. Thanks for trying to help me. I think i will look into Cris, i see that have a lot of betting options too and easy to use software. I HATED USING gameday's software.

If you are a favorite bettor you are cheating yourself by not having an account with CRIS. As you probably know favorites are more of a public play so more often a line will move in favor of the dog rather than the other way around. Plenty of times you can get down on CRIS' opening line and get yourself value on a favorite. Go for CRIS.

BTW, what year did you graduate? I graduated in 1999 w/ a B.S. in CHE w/ emphasis in Polymer Science.
