does anybody know why there are many NFL games where you do a 7 pt teaser, and you really don't get 7 pts off the actual line. For instance if they show on the main screen Cowboys -10 1/2 +115 and do a teaser you get - 3 1/2 when the real line on the pull down menu is likely -9 -110 or -115

The only answer I can think of is that the betting line changed right before you hit "submit"

no if you have 5dimes you can go on and check what I mean. You can look at several games for Sunday that are like that right now

Just checked and they have DALLAS -7.5.
With 7 pt tease they have DALLAS -.5

I wasn't referring to this weeks Dallas game, was just hypothetical, there's no good examples there now, I should have asked before the SF game yesterday

They put up weird numbers with the weird juice on purpose to protect themselves against most common teasers is my best guess.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't know WHY but some games on 5D have different "default" lines that they go off as the official spread even though one side is like +110 and the other side is -130. They don't use -110 on both sides as their official spread. By "default" I mean when you go to the NFL page, that is the line that they first show for the spread.

For example, RIGHT AT THIS MOMENT, for the DAL/DET game:

DAL -7 1/2 (+110) shows up as the default. This is the spread.
DET +7 1/2 (-130) shows up as the default. This is the spread.
DAL -7 (-110) is available as an option, but you're technically buying 1/2 point to get this.
DET +7 (-110) is available as an option, but you're technically selling 1/2 point to get this.
For 7 point teaser, it is DAL -1/2 since the spread is DAL -7 1/2.
For 7 point teaser, it is DET +14 1/2 since the spread is DET +7 1/2.

Same weirdness goes for JAX/IND game, DEN/MIN game, NYJ/WAS game, etc.
