I'm going to withdraw money for the first time and was thinking about using western union or money gram. Is this a safe process? How does it work?

not ideal to converse regarding banking on a public forum with us gov't.
i would call or email them to discuss how it works and find out what fees are involved...they will go over your account with you to see what weekly limits will be also for withdrawals.
Redemption requests processed on Mondays between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM ET may qualify to be sent free of charge if no payouts have been processed in your account during the past 30 days. You are allowed ONE free withdrawal every 30 days only.
