YTD: 11-4 on posted plays

Like a lot of games early, and that always scares me a little bit.:scared . But I learned that when I like a game I need to just bet it and not try to differentiate between the ones I like and the ones I "really" like. Invariably I cost myself money when I do that.

Jags +5
Here's a matchup of two teams that I feel have been overrated all year long. But in the end I just think that the Colts are a little more overrated. To me it comes down to the fact that it's the Colts 29th rushing D vs. MJD. That should mean that the Jags can at least keep this one close.

Panthers -3
Anytime a 1-12 team is favored you should sit up and take notice. But it's no mistake. You're looking at a Cardinals team that has the 30th overall defense and the 31st overall offense. The Panthers are actually the only team that's worse offensively but at least they're quite a bit better defensively (15th). That's actually more impressive than it sounds, because when your offense is a 3-and-out machine you're really putting your D behind the 8-ball. Cards got the best of a bad Broncos team at home last week, but I think they wilt this week after making the long trip across the country.

Bills +5
Have bet on them almost every week and have been happy almost every time. Here Miami just does not have the offensive firepower to run away from anyone, they're just 1-5 at home, and there's bound to be a letdown coming off the huge win over the Jets last week. Again, Bills keep this close.

Giants -3.
One word: revenge. Giants let a win vs. the Eagles slip away in the course of one breakaway McCoy run and Eli Manning with the ugliest QB slide ever seen in the NFL. Since that game the Giants have been playing some very good ball. G-men get the win here.

Ravens -2
When the Saints lost to the Browns in October, everyone was ready to declare their title defense dead. Now the public has gone too far the other way. Baltimore owned Houston for 3 quarters last week and then the D uncharacteristically let them back in the game before ultimately winning it in OT. The Ravens lone home loss was to the Steelers two weeks ago (another one they gave away late in the 4th); just don't see them dropping 2 in a row at home. And despite the Saints gaudy 5-1 road record, this is still a dome team with next to no run game who is coming north to play in the cold. It all screams Ravens.

Might have some more later, but as a Bears fan I'll already be invested in seeing the Pack lose in the night game.

BOL to all!

2-1 so far with 2 coming down to the wire.

The fluke Indy TD on an onside kick really hurts; really thought I had that one after the late Jax TD. Hopefully the other 2 will come in for me. Would really suck to end up withing a losing day when it looked like 5-0 10 minutes ago.

Wow; a 5-0 day but for an onside kick returned for a TD and a 21-pt comeback capped with a punt returned for a TD as time expired. At least the other 3 went my way.

Updated record: 14-6

I've got Seattle +7 in the late games but won't count that on my record since I didn't get it posted in time. That's probably it for me this week. As a huge Bears fan I'll already be rooting against the Pack tonight and for the Bears tomorrow.
