This is a tough game to cap. If they played on a neutral court 10 times they might both be 5-5 ats. With that said, here are 5 reasons UCONN will win

1. I believe in momentum in the college game. No one has a longer winning streak than UCONN. 7 of the last 10 national champs won their conf tourney. UCONN fits this system.
2. UCONN has the best closer in Kemba Walker. As Calipari said He's the best player on the court every night. He commands so much attention and is the best option to have the ball in his hand down the stretch
3. Butler maybe more physical but UCONN has more size. No one coaches the blocked shot better than Calhoun. UCONN will change and disrupt shots tonight more so than anyone Butler has faced. 218 blocks on the year
4. Matt Howard will get in foul trouble. He is foul prone. He has fouled out of 5 games and had 4 in 8 games. They cannot win without him against the size of UCONN
5. Jim Calhoun is 5-1 in final for games. I love Brad Stevens and think he is great but Calhoun will enter elite competition tonight knight, K and Rupp with 3 titles

So these reasons lead me to believe UCONN will win. I will buy 1 pt and lay -2. UCONN 1300/1000

I am not sure about that angle, it can be deceptive, dont you think?

Butler also won their conf. tourney, so this year will be 8 of the last 11 regardless....how many previous of that 7 out of 10 were conf tourney winner vrs. conf tourney winner?

Butler hasnt lost a game in 2 months, so theyve go to have some pretty good momentum going themselves.

No play for me, just watching the game but wanted to see what you thought about that angle and how it could be conf tourney winner vrs. conf tourney winner, how would it apply in that scenario?

AP,

It can be, but I feel like Butler has not faced this length inside. In just hope the refs let the players play. Of they do UCONN will win. They have better guards and a better bench. I know Howard leads the tourney in fouls drawn. Oriaki leads the country in 2nd chance FGs made. If the bigs play even and guards play as I anticipate then UCONN wins. Butler is a great story but I don't like this matchup for them

I agree on the length, just didnt agree on that particular angle.

UConn is a great offensive rebounding team, but they give up a lot of offensive boards themselves. Howard has a knack for getting that offensive board and putting it back, so UConn is going to need to put a body on him. Easier said than done though, I suppose.

Butler could be lucky to crack 60 tonight. UConn is playing better and better on D every game.

I like the under....:0corn

The steam on the total scares me. Maui, Big East tourney and NCAA no team is better tourney tested than UCONN. I know butler won the horizon tourney. But I cannot equate that to 5 wins in 5 days in a great league in the Big East.

Yeah by no means do I think the Horizon league tourney equates to winning the Big East tourney, but, the trend you said will win tonight regardless because both teams won their conf. tourney. I just thought that specific trend could be a little misleading, especially in the future.

The fact that total is climbing makes me like UCONN even more. they are better in a fast game. I know they can swim in all waters but faster pace favors UCONN IMO
