56 Countries have the Death Penalty, 21 of them for Treason

With all the talk of Mr. Trump and Treason, just out of curiosity I did some "quick research" and found the following tidbits of information.....




- 56 Countries have Death Penalty Laws

- Countries which have Death Penalty Laws but haven't executed anyone for at least 15 years = 19


Of the 56 Countries that have Death Penalty Laws..........21 of them carry the Death Penalty for Treason.



Here is a small list as to the last time somebody was put to Death for Treason in a particular Country:

Note: Most of these Countries listed below no longer have the Death Penalty for any crime.


USA = June 7th, 1862 (William Bruce Mumford)

Canada = August 27th, 1947

United Kingdom = January 3rd, 1946

New Zealand = November 16th, 1869

France = March 11th, 1963


Not sure anybody gives a shit about the information above, but one thing I came up with, no matter where you are in the World, it is pretty much impossible to be put to death for Treason. To further illustrate that point a grand total of two people have been put to death for Treason in the USA, yes that's right, only two people😲

Well it looks like Mr Trump will not only not be put to death for Treason, but he'll run for President again. I guess the William Bruce Mumford record still stands.
