"the bunker"
was gonna

was gonna

shoot in and play one or two......as usual,b.l. stole my thunder ;) ......

been away from this forum recently,boxing-wise....

hope i don`t jinx you,but i am going against my"etched in stone" law about laying over -300.......

i am going to lay the -325 and go over the 11.5 in weis/cauthen....

i see no history of head butts for either guy....cauthen is a slick lefty with little or no power......weis is an awkward righty with very little pop......

the lefty/righty thing is always a worry....but,these guys don`t stop opponents.....

i am a weis fan....i think he`s grossly underrated....but he hasn`t fought since 02/03.......cauthen has fought 3 times in that time frame.....i expect weiss to be off his game a bit....queers the deal on betting weis for me....but the over, barring strange circumstances, looks very do-able...

i`ll have to step out and wager much more than i usually do....to get any return.....usually is the kiss of death....but,i like it.....

i still have several large bets pending on hopkins-177 over dlh....my ace in the hole...

looking at simms myself as a dog... he`s the better fighter.....cora`s a harder worker...simms is a little bit flaky.....i can see cora out-gutting simms....they`ve fought once...cora really won......hoping the taller simms will adapt....cora is what he is.....a tough plugger...no guarantee...small play...cora could win,no doubt....the odds are worth taking...

simms lost his first bout recently....to a full blown heavyweight...he had about a 25 lb weight disadvantage...but he`s been active....

worth a shot....

maybe a small parlay with henry brusseles(on a roll) fighting in his native puerto rico.....with jeffrey resto(yes the jeffrey resto that quit in a recent fight) along with the weis/cauthen over.....

you can delete the resto play...not sure how much heart resto has...resto is fighting michael warrick.....17-1....fights out of my area(maryland)....he`s been inactive for over a year...he`s 31 yrs old.....warrick`s nothing special...i think resto`s people are smart enough not to kill the golden goose here....but,as i said, resto`s mental is a ?....he should have more than enough for warrick...

i see that you`ve caught some flak in here,b.l......keep on pluggin`.....don`t worry about the naysayers....keep doin` what your doin`....

Looks like you won't have to go against your -300 rule as Cauthen will now be fighting Roberto Ortega. I haven't seen a line on it yet, most books still have Weis listed as the opponent.

I have a couple solid plays posted for 6/28, the Tokuyama over might also be worth breaking your rule over. Its a little more expensive but both fighters are orthodox, neither has much power, and both have great chins having never been stopped. They just fought each other recently and it easily went the distance (close decision). These guys only weigh 115 pounds.

The Akakura fight looks like it should go over also. The lefty-righty headbutt scenario is in play here but neither fighter has much power, both have good chins, neither has been stopped, and they only weigh 105 pounds! The -175 is too good to pass up.

The Magee-Reid over is a little more risky but both fighters have good chins having never been stopped and neither is real big puncher. The -117 seems very generous to me.

The fight went the distance as I thought it would, but Sims either doesn't have the right trainer or he doesn't listen to the one he has. Sims could have easily won this fight boxing on the outside, but he chose to lay on the ropes where Cora obviously had the advantage.

I'll take the small profit and move on to this weekends action across the pond.

Simms started out well then faded. He has always been a headcase depite being 2-0-1 vs Cora up untill last night. I am amzed at how stupid he fought him. After 3x wouldnt he know enough not to fight on the inside when Cora didnt have much to give if he boxed him. I needed Cora and was glad Simms fought such a hairbrained fight.
