Hey Wisconsin workers...

Rush Limbaugh says you're all "militants, agitators, bottom feeders and free-loaders".

from the Gallup poll:

Samples are weighted by gender, age, race, education, region, and phone lines. Demographic weighting targets are based on the March 2010 Current Population Survey figures for the aged 18 and older non-institutionalized population living in continental U.S. telephone households. All reported margins of sampling error include the computed design effects for weighting and sample design.

In addition to sampling error, question wording and practical difficulties in conducting surveys can introduce error or bias into the findings of public opinion polls.

It says on the bottom of that page,
"For more details on Gallup's polling methodology, visit www.gallup.com.

I have looked through their page and can not find any info giving any info or data on their methodology.

SSD... just out of morbid curiosity, could you research the polling methodology employed by Fox News and report back to us?

Thanks in advance. :0008

Lets see we have poll of 1000 people on to an audience that was targeted by pollster discretion..
--in "same group" of people -71% say they are opposed to raising any taxes to do so -
-DUH! Somehow they fail to correlate increase benefits/bigger gov with increased taxes-
++++++++++++++++++++++++++

--and on flip side with over 150,000 sampling from all across U.S. we have--

What Should the Wisconsin Governor Do?

<LABEL class=pds-feedback-label>Negotiate a compromise bill with State Senate Democrats 5.16% (8,483 votes) </LABEL>

<LABEL class=pds-feedback-label>Ask Republicans to pull the bill and find another way to cut spending 1.77% (2,903 votes) </LABEL>

<LABEL class=pds-feedback-label>Draw a line in the sand: If you want to keep your job, get back to work -- otherwise, you're fired 92.28% (151,655 votes) </LABEL>

Survey Methods
Results for this USA Today/Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted Feb. 21, 2011, with a random sample of 1,000 adults, aged 18 and older, living in the continental U.S., selected using random-digit-dial sampling.

Interviews are conducted with respondents on landline telephones (for respondents with a landline telephone) and cellular phones (for respondents who are cell phone-only). Each sample includes a minimum quota of 150 cell phone-only respondents and 850 landline respondents, with additional minimum quotas among landline respondents for gender within region. Landline respondents are chosen at random within each household on the basis of which member had the most recent birthday.

Umm, yeah... that sounds pretty targeted, Dogs. Perhaps Gallup should consult you on polling methodology next time.

You haven't found it yet, but keep digging Doggie, you'll find that bone someday...

The conservatives are wrapped in the thinking that we are against state employees paying more for benefits when in fact they AGREED to it.

Its the collective bargaining rights that piss us off. Rallies were going state wide and will continue throughout the weekend.

Funny how conservatives will say 53% against gay marriage and it passes anyway. Government not giving the people what they want.

Who screwed over the people now?

Scott Walker.
