Will The Fight Last 4.0 Complete Rounds? yes +110, worth a shot ?

thanks and good luck,

Very risky IMO

However
Williams is 7 years younger, has a 4" height advantage and a 8" reach advantage so its possible he could jab and run for a few rounds. There's no dought that his plan will be to stay outside of Tyson's reach and tie him up when he gets close.

Here's the problem
Williams was floored three times in the 6th round by Sinan Samil Sam just a year and half ago. Sam has a big right hand but nothing like what Tyson brings to the table. The way I see it, the first time Williams gets caught the fight will be over as Tyson will finish him as only he can.

Tyson looks to be in good shape and now has Freddy Roach in his corner. Freddy knows that Tyson's best chance is to go right at Williams from the opening bell. If Tyson is too patient he will let Williams establish his long jab and find a rythem. Roach won't let that happen.

I would need alot more than +110 to play that, but if you are going to play it I would wait untill the day of the fight as you will get much better odds. Personally I wouldn't even play it at +200 as Tyson has made a career out of ko'ing fools in the first 4 rounds, including a 1st round ko of Etienne in his last fight which proves he still has that explosive power.

If you get a chance, e-mail me. I'd like to know what book is offering those odds. All my books have 4.5 rounds at +125 or so.

Hell ya!!!

Another big thanks to g.w. who e-mailed me some good info. on Markussen. I was already looking at him due to Haussler losing by a wide margin in Germany to Mads Larson, but g.w.'s input helped me pull the trigger.

Thanks again my man!

Btw, I'm pulling my play on the Bojado over.
I still like the play but don't want to risk a decent profit for the week on a Leija cut, which is the only way I see this fight being stopped early.

Ther HBO crew missed a very important detail to the Bojado-Leija fight. After the 3rd or 4th round, McGirt asked Bojado how he was feeling and Bojado leaned forward and whispered something in his ear. That usually means the fighter is hurt in some way. I don't know if it was his ribs due to the great body work of Leija, or his hands from hitting that hard head in the early rounds. All I know is from that point forward Bojado was not the same fighter he was in the first 3 rounds.

Another great week to continue a very profitable month...

July total: 19-4 +7.85 units (all 4 losses were dogs)

Total does not include my pending parlay on Marquez which should win easily.

Sure wish I wouldn't have pulled my play on the Bojado-Leija over (also a winner) but money management is the key and when you are up a good deal for the week...cash out!

"the bunker"
another big weekend.....and this was the perfect ending to the gatti fight for a future big payday....gatti`s stock goes way up....

now,if somebody can convince gatti to fight one of the top 5 or 6 jr welters instead of another blown up lightweight like paul spadafora,we can step in with both feet.....

i doubt that mcgirt will step up to the plate,though...

b.l. was part of the reason i took a small shot at leija at 4-1...always worth a shot...

i thought, though, that bojado probably could have stopped leija if he fought a little more aggressively....the guy seems confused as to what his own style should be...

i noticed that leija landed a sizzling body shot around the 3rd or 4th round that really seemed to freeze bojado...then he whispered something to mcgirt in the corner...he may have broken a rib....i believe that body shot turned the fight...

and maybe the earlier loss to rubio...in which bojado ran out of gas badly, sits in the back of his mind...he went long periods in this fight doing nothing...if he wasn`t injured on the body shot..

or maybe all the managerial-trainer confusion preceding the fight...

whatever..it was an excellent night...

an excellent weekend... ;)
