Last week I went 3-2-1. My Game of the Week -- Oregon -12.5 -- won easily. I also won with BYU and Central Florida, and lost with LSU and FSU. Auburn was a push.
Early picks I posted a couple of days ago were:
Southern Miss -4.5 over Illinois.
The line has gone up to 6, but I still think USM covers easily.
Alabama +13 over Oklahoma.
This line has gone to 12, but I still look for a close game.
Troy State +3.5 over UAB.
This line has gone to 2, but I still think Troy wins it outright.
South Carolina -4 over Virginia.
This line is now 4.5, but I still look for the Cocks to cover without any sweat.

Game of the Week: Florida -2 over Miami.
The Swamp is not a fun place for visitors to play. Florida has a huge home field advantage here. The Gators also have the athletes to keep up with Miami's fine bunch. Grossman is a better quarterback than Dorsey. He will pick Miami's young and inexperienced secondary to shreds. Earnest Graham will be the best RB on the field, and the Gator' OL is huge and talented. Each of them was highly recruited, and will jell into one of the better OLs in the nation. New DC John Thompson will make sure this is the best Gator defense since Bob Stoops was there. Miami has no idea what Florida's new schemes will be, as they showed very little against UAB while running them off the field. All in all I see a convincing victory over the defending champions, ending their 23-game winning streak.
Michigan State -28 over Rice.
If Rice couldn't get it done against Houston, how will they survive in East Lansing? The Spartans should win by 35-40 points easily. Their reserves are better than the Owls' starters.
Colorado State +7 over UCLA.
Colorado State has already played and won 2 games over Virginia and Colorado, while this is UCLA's opener. CSU has the talent and the heart to make this a very close game. If the Bruins win, it won't be by much.
