Thanks to Vincent Fuller?s 61 yard interception return for a touchdown, 71% of the TOTAL bettors at Sportsbook.com cashed in on the OVER. This capped off an outstanding weekend of TOTAL betting for the ?betting public?. The majority of the money was on the OVER in each of the 16 NFL games this past weekend. This is nothing new as usually the public prefers the OVER. But for them to not find value in any of the UNDERS is truly remarkable. In the end, the public was spot on as the OVER covered in 13 of the 16 games.

With the early cash rolling in, it appears as if the public will be putting their trust in high scoring games yet again. An OVER that is getting hammered early, despite the lofty line is Saint Louis @ Dallas (45.5). Through three games, Dallas is averaging a mind boggling 38.7 points per game, good enough for tops in the league. Obviously, they covered the OVER in each of their three games by an eye opening 18.8 points per game. Normally, the OVER would seem like a lock as they square off the traditional scoring machine St. Louis. However, this isn?t the ?Greatest Show on Turf? of old. Through their first three games, they have scored a total of 32 points. Needless to say, the UNDER covered in all three games. Given the offensive talent still on the roster, this ridiculously low number is shocking. Something that should concern the masses even more is that their most dangerous weapon, Steven Jackson, will not play. Expect a big day from the Dallas running game as they face the 28th ranked rushing defense. St. Louis passing defense, on the other hand, has been quite thrifty (3rd in the NFL). This could also play a huge role on which side of the TOTAL will cover. One would think Dallas will have much more success on the ground; if so, they will chew up more of the clock, thus negating quick scores. If all of this happens, the UNDER could look a little more intriguing. Additionally, a couple of key trends actually support the UNDER. The UNDER covered the last seven times in which St. Louis scored 15 points or less in their previous game. Even more impressive, in their last 59 games versus a team with a losing record, Dallas covered the OVER only 16 times.

If you, like most of the bettors, prefer to back the OVER; this is the weekend to pile in. For this weekend?s NFL schedule, Sportsbook.com will offer its new and unique ?Total Surrender? promotion.
If you bet the OVER on any of the NFL games and the OVER covers by 30 or more points, you will be rewarded with an extra 20% to your winnings. That 30 point number might seem high but this happens numerous times throughout the season. As a matter of fact, it happened just last week as Philadelphia and Detroit exceeded the TOTAL by 32 points. In order to take advantageous of this generous promotion, be sure to log on and register at Sportsbook.com.
