Outright plays (total stake per play: 1.5pts)

Jonathan Byrd to win 25/1 e.w. available generally
Looking for a good reaction to being pulled up for 'building a stance' in the bunker on the 9th hole yesterday. That demoted him from solo 3rd place to a five-way tie for 5th and the loss of a lot of money. Of course, he had higher aspirations earlier in the day as he did hold the lead during the final round, but it was still a very encouraging performance. And now that he returns to a course on which he has shot par or better in all 12 previous rounds, he looks an obvious candidate this week. Not great odds, but a likely candidate anyway.

K.J. Choi to win 33/1 e.w. @ BetInternet, Victor Chandler and BetFred
Slightly better odds on Choi who finished 7th in his previous visit in 2004 and comes into the event in good form. In his last three Tour events, he has finished 9th (U.S. Bank Championship), 7th (PGA Championship) despite being 82nd after the 1st round and 22nd (Bridgestone Invitational) despite being 63rd after the 1st round. All these events have been against very much tougher opposition and if he can dispense with the slow start, he should be in contention on Sunday.

Craig Barlow to finish in the top-five 14/1 @ BetFred and BetDirect
Siding with the place-only play on Barlow and 14/1 looks more than fair. A year ago, he entered the final round in 2nd place and after birdies at the 2nd and 3rd holes, he held a share of the lead with Jason Gore. In the end, he was 4-over-par for his last eight holes and finished 13th, but he had been in the thick of contention. He had similarly been in contention in 2003, shooting every round under 70 and finishing 8th. So with two top-5 finishes from 19 starts this year and strong performances in the Buick Open, the International and the Reno-Tahoe Open in the last month, he looks decent value for a top-5 finish around this course.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Outrights:

Jonathan Byrd(25/1) e.w.
- - At a venue with all 12 prior rounds at par or better, it seems almost easy for him to get out of the box with some steam, and thereafter he might be very difficult to reign back in (with an assist from a course playing long and wet). Information and angles that suggest potential value in my golf capping (i.e., playing in front of family and friends, injured golfer, bitter disappointments, etc.) can cut either way - feast or famine. Cheaters (lol) never prosper?

Harrison Frazar(80/1) e.w.
- - Earlier this year I noted Bo Van Pelt was playing "great" but hadn't finished inside the Top 5, so I made a couple of plays based on his being due; he threatened but faded away, and I haven't been tempted back. (Alert: Time for a saver on Bo!) Frazar, by contrast, seems to still be feeling his way toward "great" play by his standards, but is moving in that direction with some confidence (on the basis of a couple of upbeat interviews), and he had a strong finish to last season, so despite the disappointment of my recent wagers thereon, he's getting another try. And for omens, prior finishes here of 33rd and 17th nicely sequence toward a nice ordinal for his finish this week, and even a "match play" type progression amidst all the match play karma would carry the man to 5th.

That's not much. Due diligence - not.

Toms finishing position over 15.5 -115 @ HW
72 holes
Allenby -110 over Toms @ SB or -111 @B&W
1st rd
Allenby -112 over Toms @ 5dimes

Thought there would be good chance of his pulling out of this event--nothing about this course or conditions set up well for him IMO

O well - god knows why I didn't back Nicholas - surely going to win wire-to-wire now. Though he usually has 1 good round or two....

Was more the weather than the course--but what do I know :)
Had one of my top bad weather players(cold/wind)vs worse--10 yards length adv--on course I figured putting would premium to lesser degree.
Actual temps ended up higher-less wind-and LC&P negated adv of length over accuracy.:(

Had boat load of WD's yesterday and had they had morning temps in 50's with 17 mph winds today(as previously projected) putting wind chill in high 30's you seen a boat load more.--however wind projection now revised to only high of 5mph

---had the wind and temps held up and Wie going off early I believe the "84" Lumber and her 2nd rd score might have had some similiarity ;)

A few 3rd Gir props-all under the total
Hoping they return tees to full length today and greens should firm up some.

3rd rd prop totals 1-3

3rd Round - 303 - Jason Bohn + Brett Quigley - Under 26?> loss 27

3rd Round - 307 - Jeff Gove + Greg Owen - Under 27? GIRs -125> loss 30

3rd Round - 311 - Bo Van Pelt + Ted Purdy - Under 26? GIRs -105 loss 30

- 3rd Round - 315 - J B Holmes + David Toms - Under 26 GIRs -115 win 25

Can't believe they still played LC&P today however would have made little diff on the totals of 30--was just bad judgement call on my part. Was fortunate to win the one.

Wide open going to last round, the way I see it Curtis, Van Pelt and Sabatinni have best chance. Have a feeling it is finally Van Pelts day.

1 unit on Van Pelt 16-1 Stan James

Toms -110 over Allenby
Puts 72 wager on same in no loss scenerio with good middle to win both.

In addition I would like Toms here anyway given no wind and ball in hand in fairways.
