a few weeks back, was having a barbeque with family and friends, try to have one or two BBQ a week in the summer and excuse to get together and enjoy the weather.
anyways where I live (remote, have a big backyard...lol) there is a dirt road.) very quiet, about 3 cars an hour would be consdered heavy traffic.
around 7 in the evening heard a loud bang. so everyone rushed to the scene.....well I turned down the grill and turned the steaks over...
three teenagers were helped from a honda hatchback, that was across the road in 15ft. of bush there was 3-4 trees on top of the car, which had no windows and the frame was twisted.
Honda makes a great motor, the engine was still running, the body was destoryed.
the two girls were shaken up, the one in the back seat had a small cut but was fine. the teenaged boy ran to get her medicine and told the other girl (who was driving, and her car) that he would get his truck and haul it out.
told him that was impossible and pointed out the 4 trees, and unless he had a tank to forget the plan.
it took 4 hours of cutting, plenty more fire wood the next day, and a nieghbour brought his cat crawler. then took about 40 mins before it was pulled out.
they drove back in forth and hit the hill and were sent airborne going 160km, roughly.
though the girl driving claims she was only going 60km and turned to miss a squirrel......
her uncle said 160 or 260...lol
anyways told them it was amazing that they lived, I mean they hit instead of glance off of 3 jackpines; they would all be dead. or if one of those 3-4 trees on the top go through the car, well......
if you did that 1000 times probably 1 time eveyone walks away.....told them it was amazing.
well the kids are fine and hopefully they learn because they have used up all of their luck for sometime.
a good friend told me that it was wrong to tell them how close or lucky they were; she is probably correct, I mean after you just get out of the car have someone tell you it is amazing miracle to be alive instead of dead or breathing from a tube.
luck is very important to have........
hope everyone had a safe summer and the rest of the year.
thanks
