IU -3
UNC +2.5

Just going to track some college hoops plays here this year. I've been looking at some of these teams so far.

IU is basically in a home game. They've played well against much tougher comptetion.

I think MD came into the season underrated if you can believe that, but they still have some problems with experience. I don't think Nicholas will be getting the open looks that he's been getting all year. They'll keep it close and make a run if they're down, but I see INDY making free throws at the end of the game to keep this one at or above the 3.

This will be a good test to see where they stand early.

UNC is a lean. I really like what I've seen, but maybe I'm overreacting here to their early success. Like I said, just a lean.

They're the first good team that ILL has seen this year. They definitely have talent, and it looks like Doherty might finally be getting what he should out of them.

Last night: 1-1.
Year: 1-1

Thanks to MJ's for tips on Manhattan (Fletch) and GW (JEFF). A couple easy winners I threw on the card.

MD and IU both looked good. Not many close up shots of what went on inside, and I couldn't tell just how much the Terps had to do with IU missing all those shots. They certainly missed a couple easy layups.

IU plays tough D. This guy Leach blocked 6 shots, and they have this freshman with a real nice jump shot. Could be a real force this year.

Way off on UNC. That's the kind of thing you seem to get with young teams, though. Way up one night. Way down the next. Might be a great team to pull some MORE upsets this year. Should have seen it coming against the talented Illini.
