that was a pretty nice win yesterday, though, wasn`t it?...:D

just giving the kid his due after he was ripped a new one in here for a few weeks running....

winning on the road vs a solid club with THAT team was an accomplishment...

so i`m givving him a little shout out...

Nothing against him, but not interested in him as the starting qb of my team. Didn't root for or against him initially, but find that I'm pulling for him now.

odds are against him becoming a full-time starter....given his modus operandi(more college game oriented skillset)...

but he`s a solid kid....i think it`s unfortunate that he gets such an inordiante amount of hate and a guy like michael vick basically gets a pass from fans.....

says an awful lot about how our society has degenerated....imo...

Watched the entire Denver/Oakland football game yesterday... Tebow did everything you would want out of your starting QB. He managed the game, made correct, fundamental decisions and didnt turn the football over. He also made big plays when they needed them. Granted they did run for 200+ and that makes a QB's job much, much easier.

I was actually happy for him after hearing the Raider fans chant "Tebow sucks" for the entire game. I'd have him in a Redskin uniform any day of the week.

I guess not...

I don't think Vick gets a pass. People watch him because he is awesome and awesome to watch. That doesn't mean they "like" him personally or want to be friends with him or be a role model for their kids. This is a game. I, for one, don't morally evaluate each player. I watch for enjoyment and couldn't care less if the player believes in god or is a good guy or a not so good guy. Ceteris Paribus... fine. But I wouldn't want to watch the church league play football, I want to watch the best football players. Just my humble opinion

Yeah,Teebs as his close friends call him really looked great returning that kickoff for a td,and his punt return for the td was equally spectacular....i know, ill bet the reason those guys returned those two kicks for tds was TEEBS inspired them with talk of god and no abortions at halftime, right ????

Do I think TEBOW will ever be a PRO BOWL QB or Super Bowl QB? NO But I think after the top 5-6 QB's in the league, the other 24 could be rotated every week and we'd never notice the difference. Maybe the league should have a lottery each week of the average and below average QB's and merely have them draw their "team" for the week every Monday. In short TEBOW is no different than the rest. :0008
Just under more scrutiny

i didn`t say anything about church(and there it is:lol: )...

isn`t it odd that none of those players at the top of the supposed list of most disliked gets the public scorn and derision that tebow gets?.....i mean, there are probably hundreds of black players that cross themselves or acknowledge their faith in some way after making a play or wnning a fight....nobody seems to give a flying f-ck about their faith(whatever it may be)....

i mean we have guys involved in murder trials, rape accusations, animal torture etc,yet tebow is the one who gets,by far,the most derision....

i find that really skewed...you don`t have to agree...just thought i`d give the kid a little credit....everybody has their say after he has a bad performance.....so,i had mine...

Those guys also don't have people gushing over how a good a guy they are. They just aren't as relevant as Tebow right now. They have all been the hot topic at one time or another.

No one will care about him in a year or 2 either. Unless of course he is as good as Vick or any of those guys really. Which we all know he isn't.

I didn't see the game, so I don't know how he fared. I just find it funny that people stand on some sort of moral high ground and make you look like a bad guy if you aren't rooting for Teebs to do well. I'm not saying you are doing that all.

no,not saying that anybody has to root for the guy...just let him do his job without treating him like he`s some sort of social outcast....the nfl`s full of social reprobates...treat him with half the respect that they get....

i get that tebow`s probably not as good as they are(certainly not at this point in his career)......."the redeeming power of competence".(when you?re good at stuff, people will tolerate more).....
