Goldens are very stubborn, the more you try to help them the more they resist. One of mine has been blind now for several months, Anytime I try to "steer" her in the right direction and she just drops her rear and pulls away.

Sorry Deezy....... I had a golden as a kid and always wanted another but I have three and sometimes four dogs in my house already. Anymore would be a bit much.

I have the same exact situation... 3 little dogs now. A 4th med/large-sized dog would be a big much for us right now. Ironically, I'm in a better position than I've ever been to get another lab/hound/retriever type dog now that I actually have a house with a yard and some space. Will get around to getting another one someday and when I do, it will be a rescue, just as the others have been.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Great post FDC

Great post FDC

Dogs are the greatest gift to humanity.....

Posts like this give us all hope and a warm fuzzy feeling; much better than bickering over stuff we can't control.

I've had nothing but rescued dogs for the last 35 years, I think they know they have been saved and deeply appreciate it.

Sadly, my 13 year old Black Lab is losing a step or 2, I know the feeling well.:0008

Great organization.

They partner with dfw rescue me and a few others in my area. They help to gain support and structure for several of our local shelters as well. A great organization is correct. Eldad, the founder, has come down several times and has assisted in training of staff and volunteers as well as several rescues. He's given me more training and rescue equipment, as well as crates and collars than I could ever hope for. Yeah kick you're right, a great organization.
