Fletch...question. Is Maryland really a smart play. I mean this is gonna be a different offense. I think everybody is use to seeing the option offense when it comes to the golden domers. Dan Patrick(I think) made a good point today....he said that the Fridge will have to look at Stanford tape AND look at Notre Dame tape. Stanford tape to see the offense....ND tape to see the talent and what the players can do. Allthough me and Monk made a good point saying that these arent Willinghams recruits...they are leftovers from the Davie years....

Why is Maryland a good play then?

Thanks :)

henderson,nv.
deff. my friend deff. maryland will come with eight people at times and many times as nd has a below avg qb just dareing him to throw the ball.

coach w. isnot the 2nd comming of the pope, people tend to forget he took over stanford after walsh had put them back on the map and coat tailed off that , well now he is at a program that was not as well kept as the cards were when he took over the clip board.

Maryland is not a 1 year wonder they have a great coach and he is 40 pounds lighter good for him, that has a lot of different ways to attack you, yes the lost a stud 2 weeks ago but have a few more in the barn.

Wait if you get to watch this kid EJ Henderson LB for Maryland. He is the real deal. ND has to know ware he is every play or it will hurt them. Maryland a small dog or game even just because everyone can't shake the idea ND is a full year away from a good bounce back. For years and years the line on ND has had flaws. The squares still don't believe there as bad as they are.

yes.. the spread does seem unusual. I can see Maryland a 3 point dog at South Bend.. but on a neutral field i like the 3 points a lot.

I really think EJ Henderson is going to emarge as a star this year and is going to be one of those guys that after a couple of months national press is going to go "Hey where did this guy come from"

EJ Henderson was the ACC P.O.Y. last season, so I don't think anyone's going to be shocked at his talent.

Leon Joe, the Terps other LB, that could be said about him. Kid is a stud.

Better watch out for the Tide... Bama will be on a mission this year and their DL is very nasty... Plus Mr. Freddie Roach takes over the D in Saleem Rasheeds place..

New A-Back formation on Offense and three tailbacks that can keep pounding the ball all day long.. Williams, Galloway and Beard...

It will be a long day for MTSU.. I promise..

Bama -19

ROLL DAMN TIDE.....

LOL Big Mack. . .

But you're not biased or anything?!?! I really like MTSU to stay within 20 here. . . yeah, I think the Tide win this game, but 20 is too generous.

Only thing you need worry about Alabama. ls a look ahead to Oklh. But with line down to 17 and 17.5 because folks are thinking that. I agree Bama. When it was 19.5. I was on the board line.

He was already listed in SI as a guy to watch, and he was ACC defensive player of the year last year, so the word is out on him.

You know, when I look at this MD-ND game, I keep thinking back to Oregon State last year. They were down for a long time, had an improved season three years ago, had a break out season two years ago, came in last year with HIGH expectations and then TANKED. Lost right out of the gates to Fresno St. and never got back on track. I know, what the hell does that have to do with UMD this year? Nothing. But it just feels the same to me, for what THAT'S worth.

MD still doesn't have a lot of great talent. Last year they pulled a couple out that were a bit lucky (NCST, G.Tech), caught UNC at a down time for them (remeber how bad they started the season) and they still got CRUUUUSSSSHED by the quality programs (FSU and UF). I'm not sold on them.

Besides, I liked Fridge better when he was fat.

ND's funny, though. With all of the changes there its hard to judge what they'll look like. I think I'm laying off this one, but if I do play it, my money's on ND.

good points...fridge is an excellent coach, but, has maryland narrowed the talent gap enough...i know nd has been down recently, but, they now have a decent coach and i have to believe "notre dame" still gets big time athletes...both squads lost important guys(nd jones and lovecchio-md perry)....and e j henderson may be the best linebacker in the country...but,to many ? for me to touch this one....looks like a crapshoot....i will say that if chris kelly`s knee holds up,he is a competitor...but,i`d bet he`s coming back to soon....o`brien couldn`t start at west virginia...i guess you take the points and pray....there seem to be better plays on the board-love fletch`s miami, ohio play and leaning toward boise-23(ouch)....have read some commentary in another forum indicating boise looks sharp as a tack in practice....and that aside from qb lindgren, idaho is talent poor(with some jc transfers coming in)...hate laying that wood, but, boise is an offensive machine and have a pretty experienced defense coming back....i have been assured they are chomping at the bit to play in state rival and are not looking past this game(although i believe playing at arkansas next week could be a distraction)......next week vs sec foe is the reason i will tone down my boise play here ...g.l.
