OK...If a lot of you are like me...you love the game, but hate watching it on TV (unless it's a major). Some of the guys around here have started the following contest and have run it with tremendous success the past 3 years (My dad is in the league.)

Here is how it works:

There are 145 players listed on the tour at espn.com...and a few others that can be found....so we will stick with 30 people in the contest/league, with each team getting 5 players.

Contest starts with the Phoenix open in January and ends with the last Major (PGA Championship) in August.

To select the 5 players on your team, we will have an online draft of players. with each team selecting 5 unique PGA pros.

Scoring is done two ways....WEEKLY and SEASON LONG.

Weekly is very simple, whoever has the winner of the tourney that week, gets $75. The 2nd place finisher (and ties) gets/splits $25.

Season long works this way: Top 5 finishers (and ties) in each tourney get awarded the following points towards the season long standings: 1st=10 / 2nd=7 / 3rd=4 / 4th=2 / 5th=1

For the 4 Majors, the points earned are doubled!

After the PGA Championship (final major), the prizes are as follows: 1st=50% / 2nd=25% / 3rd=10% / 4th=5% / 5th=4% / 6th=3% / 7th=2% / 8th=1%

"What if I have more than 1 player finish in the top 5 one week? Do I get points for each player or just the highest finisher"....ANSWER: If you are lucky enough to have more than one person finish in the top 5, you get ALL the points for every player that is in the top 5 places that week.

Entry fee is $200, to be paid in full before the 1st tourney. If we get 30 teams, then the winner at the end of the year will recieve $1400 ($3200 paid to weekly top 2).

If you are interested, email me with questions. I will be taking the first 29 people that want in (and alternates in case I don't get the money in time). I suggest you email me right away if interested as I already have 22 people who have said they want in.
