He never,.. never accepts responsibility for his actions and decisions. He says he talked to the players and (to paraphrase) they all had problems with Barber. So it must be the coaches fault.

Hey Clarkie maybe you compiled a roster of overpaid underachieving malcontents!!!!! Is that Barbers fault? Is it his fault he couldn't get millionaire superstars to make an effort? These guys did nothing... really!, nothing. Is that the coaches fault. Did he tell them before each shift... "hey don't forget to suck!"
I can hear it now as Primeau jumps the boards ... "get out there and suck Primeau,.. do nothing,... play bad!!" and when JR comes coasting to the bench,./.. "awesome JR, you were completely useless you sucked great!!".
After the game maybe he strolled into the dressing room proud of his ability to keep a team of all stars and hall of flamers from scoring, or even caring about the game. I can hear his emotional words, " you guys have made me proud,.. never has a group of such proven performers been able to so completely hide their talent, you are the greatest bunch of sucks I have ever known."
Any professional player will do his best and try to win. Any professional will accept responsibility for his own failures. Bobby Clarke has built a team of players just like himself. Men who blame others for their failures. this is a doomed franchise as long as it is run by an ass.
