A new American Idol has been born; grey haired blue?s crooner Taylor Hicks has been declared American Idol. From his initial audition in Vegas, where Simon told him he was not Idol Material down to his crowning in Hollywood?s Kodak Theatre; Taylor Hicks managed to win the hearts and souls of an immense number of dedicated fans.
An upbeat character with a rich southern Voice, bubbly personality and dance steps that can only be described as; duh, Taylor Hicks moves. He managed the unlikely and reminded us that America does not only chose its Idols based on looks, and that warm and humane individual can always sing (or dance) his way into our hearts.
BETonSPORTS had the unique opportunity to meet Mr. Hicks during the ?BOS Night at the Playboy Mansion? event March 13th. Mr. Hicks showed us good old southern boys know how to party as he mingled with BOS customers during the event and even caught a sniff of the action on the blackjack tables.
