Last week: 9-4 +37.6*

7* South Carolina +7.5
Ole Miss is certainly capable of covering this spread, but this is their letdown week. Rebs have won 3 straight over Florida, Alabama, and Arkansas -- all big games for them. Next week they have hated Auburn in their sites in what they believe is a major step in winning the SEC West. They're bound to have some degree of letdown, no matter how much they guard against it. South Carolina is not a big rivalry with the Rebs, and they play good pass defense, which is essential in slowing down the Rebs' explosive offense. I'm truly hoping the Rebels win this game, but I feel there's a very good chance it will be a hard-fought victory and that the final score will be less than a touchdown.

7* Florida St -11.5
The Noles are perfectly capable of blowing this Notre Dame team far away. Irish won 34-24 last year in Tallahassee. Noles plan on returning the favor. Irish do not have the athletes or the speed to keep up with a focused FSU team. Noles are a perfect 0-5 ATS verses the Irish, but this will be cover #1.

7* Oklahoma St +16.5
I couldn't believe it when I saw this number. Sure, Oklahoma is very probably the best team in college football, and yes, they will want double revenge after losing the last two years to the Cowboys. But the Cowboys have the weapons to make a game of it. I guess the Sooners could conceivably do to OK St the same thing they did to Texas, but I'm betting that won't happen. Cowboys keep this one closer than that generous spread.

More games later in this same thread.

Hey Reb,
What are your thoughts on Arkansas -3.5? Will they have their running game back? I'm considering this as a large play...

Gordon, I don't know if the Hogs will have their running game back. They are in a tailspin right now. I think I would lean to them, but that isn't much of an endorsement. I'll have more of a feeling for that game in a couple of days. Line has just gone up to 4 in some places, so someone likes them. Good luck, anyway.

7* Florida +3
Florida has played very well lately. Don't like the way the Dawgs just turn it on and off (almost losing to UAB) -- one day they are not going to be able to turn it on the way they think. Gators are 5-1 ATS against Dawgs in last 6 and 7-2 ATS since 1994. I just have a feeling about this game. I trust my feelings -- they are usually right.

GL this week! I agree with one play so far and disagree with two. Believe it or not I agree with the FSU play but if it rains I will be playing ND for one reason. Greg Jones can't play in the rain. It might sound crazy but look at the Miami game this year and Louisville game last year. Look forward to your posts each week!

Thursday:
7* Boise St -7
Just a little more fire-power here. Going mostly with feelings on this game, not a lot of analysis.

Thanks, Kdogg.

7* Pittsburgh -1.5
Pittsburgh is a much stronger team and a playing pretty good right now. BC doesn't do well the week after playing Notre Dame -- 2-8-1 ATS the week following the Irish.

Hogs' RBs are back, and since they have lost 3 straight both SU and ATS, we have tremendous value in this game. Hogs are one of the more physical teams in the country, and Kentucky will be Hog-tied. If the Hogs can go to Austin and beat Texas, I don't see them having much trouble with these Wildcats.

Reb: fwiw I think Kentucky's special teams did them in last year...mainly Abney...I imagine the Hogs will be a little more aware of him this year.

Best of luck to all who have contributed to my thread.

I might post a couple of more games on Saturday -- including a possible 10*.

Reb, I always enjoy your analysis on the college games every week. It seems that I am on many of the games that you like.

I will make this bold prediction that your possible 10* will be:

Texas A&M
New Mexico
Purdue

Good Luck
