a problem i have with mma

i notice all the time that these big mma cards..particularly in vegas....use boxing judges....like patricia morse jarman....

why not have mma people...experienced mma practitioners and ex fighters/trainers/etc judge the sport?....

they know what to look for....these boxing judges seem to come up with some strange scores(much like in boxing...lol)...

is it because the mma cards are sanctioned by the state athletic commissions and they`re forced to use their people or be shut out?....

that`s my guess....a little cronyism...i think that sucks...

I have wondered the same thing:scared Although I know that for some of the Canadian events (Maximum, and some others) the judges are actually MMA people. In fact at the UFC event in Montreal they used some of the same judges. I am not sure why there are not "MMA judges" and "Boxing judges" for the events in Vegas:shrug:

Also, I have not paid attention, but are the same judges doing the fights when the UFC is outside Vegas:shrug: And who are the judges that do WEC, Elite, etc. :shrug: Are they the same? No idea:shrug:

I can tell ya this though........whoever the judges are for the Affliction event they will be awarding the fight to Fedor, that I assure you. They will be killed if they don't give the decision to him:mj07:

Judges wont be needed... who ru kidding.. :mj07:

Only 7 of his 28 wins have gone to decision... all unanimous of course......... if there is a decision it will be unanimous for Fedor because he'll treat Sylvia like a crash test dummy.. :142smilie

i wrote a post about this about 4 or five years ago (another site)when i first heard Jerry Roth. Dave Morretti, and Dalby Shirby(sp) doing an mma event. I said at the time this is the first bad sign for the UFC having these corrupt pricks judging. anything these guys ever judge that is remotely close always goes to the side of Vegas(books). I remember the one time they did one where Rogan said it was the worst decision he ever saw in an MMA event.
