A question about the new forum

In the old forum, if I clicked on my REFRESH button, it would then only show me what forums had a new post in it, now when I click on my refresh button, nothing happens. I have the cookies enabled in my profile section.

So is there some kind of way to find out which sections have new posts since the last time I checked? Thanks.

with mine, this little icon lights up if there is a new post.

me too

me too

my icon lights up too.

I'll try and explain what I mean.....If I enter the forum, I see all the different subjects displayed and some icons indicate new posts have been made. Say I next go into the NFL fourm and read what I want, then maybe over to college hoops. I then go back out to the main forum and hit the refresh button. The old forum would then only light up if new posts were made since the last time I hit the refresh button. Now when I do that everything that was originally lit up stays that way and doesn't update.

or say I enter the forum and the only icon lit is in the hockey forum...if I am not interested in hockey, I could hit the refresh button and if no new posts were made in those few seconds, it would show all forums as being read...then say I check back in 30 minutes, by hitting refresh again, it would give me the new posts. It seems with the new forum, it will not clear out the lit icon by hitting refresh . Hope this makes sense :)

i'm learning the new format too, but try this.

up top, go to 'profile' and then 'edit options' and then scroll down to 'styles' and try the ubb5 format. maybe that will work.

no luck with that.

One more question if you don't mind.....what does subscribing to a certain section of the forum do, say for example, if I subscribe to the golf section?
