Vanished into vortex
I admit to having been a soccer hater, I didn't understand the game at all and thought it was boring as shit. And I was wrong. It's actually a great game that I wouldn't have ever really sat and watched if my son didn't start playing the game. Fast forward a few years and he's starting for the varsity team that has a real chance to go to state's this year. We've been very involved for several years now and I never really considered betting on EPL because I don't like the 3-way betting options.

I have been looking more and more (still don't bet on soccer) but I wanted to know how bad of a bet it is to bet on the favorite who is getting plus juice like +130 and bet the draw in the same game that is +210?

I can do the math and figure out that I'm only winning .3 units if the favorite wins and 1.1 units if the game ends in a draw and losing 2 units if the dog wins outright, but I'm curious how often that happens in soccer? Does the dog win outright enough to make this a horrible proposition? Can you offset that with a measure of handicapping skills?

I tend to miss the obvious sometimes, is this just a total sucker bet?

Glad you're enjoying the game. I think there's a lot more variance in soccer betting as its a game of moments but when you're running good, it's awesome.

I usually don't like playing two bets as you're effectively paying juice twice, but you can usually take the favorite on the Asian line (favortite +1/2) and in the case of a +130 favorite, it will be -270, -280 to take the favorite on the draw and the win. I prefer taking the favorite at pick -130 where a draw pushes. 5dimes lines are be best for reducing the amount of juice to play.
